Yea that's a lie.
If Kovalev gets robbed again, I won't follow boxing anymore

The most often used illegal tactic of the first fight was that reverse headlock Kova used everytime Ward got in close.
To those crying about fair judging and refereeing: what will you say if the ref warns, then starts deducting points if Kova does it again?
Will that be "fair"?Comment

Ward kept charging in with the head to cut Kovalev, who was using the headlocks to protect himself from Ward's dirty tactic. The most often used illegal tactic of the first fight was that reverse headlock Kova used everytime Ward got in close.

Ref should have warned Ward to stop trying to head butt.Comment

Ward was lowering his head and charging in. Anyway, "illegal tactics" were not an issue. Twas a close fight and people need to quit crying about the decision. The most often used illegal tactic of the first fight was that reverse headlock Kova used everytime Ward got in close.

You mean kovalev trying to defend against Ward Billy goating on the inside and him grabbing kovalev every time in close? The most often used illegal tactic of the first fight was that reverse headlock Kova used everytime Ward got in close.

It is illegal in boxing to hold, period. So if ward is warned and deducted for that then I'll have no problem with kovalev being treated the same if he engages in illegal tactics.
But what do you think about three American judges? Would you have an issue if the fight was in Russia with a Russia ref and threw Russian judges?
Show me one time where an American has fight overseas and there was three judges and a ref all from that country?
Broom vs Spence had American and other non english judges in England.
Wilder vs povetkinwas going to have American judges in Russia.
Yet why is this acceptable? Is America above it?Comment

There is absolutely nothing to substantiate that claim.
And if you watch the fight- cuz clearly you either did not or are not recollecting it accurately- you can see that most times Kova's use of that reverse headlock occurs regardless of where Ward's head is.
It was what they came up with to avoid having to fight inside.
And it backfired big-time.Comment

I voted no but not because I want the officials to favor my favorite fighters. The officials should score the fights correctly and not favor either boxer. Boxing has always had bad decisions and some flat out robberies. That will never change. Of course it would be better if all fights were scored correctly but that is only possible in a fantasy world that doesn't exist. I score my own fights and my score card is the only one that matters to me. If the officials scored the fight for the other guy rather than the fighter I scored the winner I refuse to recognize their decision. I will always consider Kovalev the winner of the Kovalev vs Ward fight and Pacquiao the winner of the first Pacquiao vs Bradley fight. That's how I deal with bad decisions and continue to love boxing.Comment
