I'm not really a blood thirsty kind of gym, but I do like to see the extent of boxer's fighting skills. I don't know anyone who seriously wants a boxer to be permanently injured. However, when someone's goal is to kick your ass, there may be an expectation that you give a little more. I know there is a financial/health aspect to it, but there is also a pride/honor aspect to it. Some boxers just don't have the will that we expect from them and that's where the disappointment and crap talking come in... Maybe I'm wrong though.

People are saying that Virgil is overrated. However, many boxers are and other trainers flocking to him to get his advice and tutelage. Most notably, Danny Jacobs went to Virgil's gym to get insight for the GGG fight and he performed extremely well. Amir Khan was performing well against Canelo until he deviated from the gameplan and we all know how that ended. Hunter isn't in the news all the time and there isn't crazy hype around him. There's no reason to think that he is overrated really.
those guys probably would have won without hunter. he made them lose

Got zero issue with Virgil throwing in the towel there.

          F**king Fonfara was getting obliterated.

Hunter was right to stop the fight, that said, I've always said hes one of the most overrated loudmouths in boxing who seems to coach nothing but losers who get destroyed.(besides Ward) The most pathetic thing ive ever seen in my life was when his fighter just got put to sleep showreel style,& all he can do is go on the mic & say that canelo needs to fight gigi next since kahn just got his teeth rearranged. =translation "Im angry that my fighter was put to sleep,so Im gonna start screaming that canelo needs to fight gigi, BECAUSE hopefully he loses to gigi & deflects from yet another of my fighters being tucked in goodnight"

Your right but Hunter has consistently proven to be completely out of his depth,he only knows how to train one tactic to most his fighters: stick & move.
I also cant stand trainers like him who go all over the place talking nonsense. Hes one huge shlttalking bltch as far as trainers or fighters go.

Boxing is about levels and Adonis is an elite level boxer and elite power, don't matter how Fonfara beat Dawson and Chavez Jr. he was being hopelessly outfought and out thought, Fonfara had no answer Verg did.

Im shocked at the level Adonis came in at after having seen the first fight as competitive but as Manny Steward says the boxer always wins the rematch, Fonfara is not the same level as Adonis simply. Adonis must have really under estimated this guy the first time then again it only takes one punch to stop anybody if it's the Hail Mary.

                    Hunter is a loudmouth???

You must be easily intimidated if that's what you call a loudmouth.

I honestly didnt see what you mean in that fight w Jr,as all I noticed was fonfara being way too strong & skilled for undisciplined Jr. I truly think with any trainer it wouldve been same result. I think Ward is good despite Hunter not because of him,hes his godfather whos lucky ward has the talent to put him on the map. Hunter seems to suck at teaching defense, his fighters seem to only know how to stick & move, but get clobbered when caught.
