Margarito is treated like a HOF great tough fighter when the discussion is about Floyd. Yet he never performed like that unless his gloves were loaded.

postets always elevate guys that didn't fight Floyd. Then when those same guys are brought up in other discussions they are treated accordingly.

Seriously? You don't have to be a Floyd fan to trash Margarito. You act like he's some atg, when he's a ****ing bum, a journeyman, a walking punching bag. His cheating ass wasn't **** without his hand wraps. He got his ass kicked so many times in the latter half of his career. The only reason certain people hype this scrub is because they need a imaginary boogeyman to downplay Mayweather's talent and legacy. If he had fought Margs you people would be going on about how ducked Baldomir to fight a walking punching bag.

        But Maidana won five.

40 years old Mosley destroyed Margarita. I hardly believe Margarita could hurt Floyd. Pac nearly killed him, lol.

There is always some kind of comment about "living vicariously through Floyd" as if all the Floyd fans (code for black posters) are poor or have no role models other than Floyd.

We don't see this with any other fan base, even if the fighter they support comes from a 3rd world country in Europe or Asia , a small island near bankruptcy, or a part of Mexico that resemble a 3rd world country.

I know a lot of you are incensed that Floyd beat the guy you like but do those losses hurt so much that you have to stereotype all Floyd fans just to feel good about yourselves?
I think you already know the answer to that question. Boxing may be one of the few sports that this happens regularly in. The NFL, NBA, and MLB got over these issues decades ago for the most part. Would somebody like to explain to the general public why boxing brings out the ignorant people and their true deep down feelings about certain individuals of other races?

It's funny how these same people don't understand that the more you mention Floyd the more exposure he got/gets which in turn in this day and age equals a bigger bank account. Their hate will feed the Mayweather family for a long time.

I get you hate him, but the comment about his fans was crazy. I mean do you live vicariously through the fighters you root for?
Why would i hate him? I haven't got anything against him.

And my point about living vicariously was aimed at boxing fans generally. Why people make themselves self appointed spokespeople and defenders for celebrities who don't even known they exist and actually become emotionally involved in their lives I will truly never ever understand. A 12 year old girl doing it for one direction I can forgive but a grown man who may even be on the bags himself doing it over another grown man is absolutely embarrassing. And no that's not aimed at you or floyd fans specifically and I'm sorry you took it personally or as an insult to floyd

Its a forum for debate. If you post something, you should expect a response. If that response provides facts that contradicts what you posted or is complimentary of the boxer you criticized, that isn't living vicariously through someone or defending them blindly.

I responded for the reason I posted. It strikes me because there are fighters who have their whole country support them and they are never negatively labeled as "acting like they are getting a cut of the check".

you have no proof of this..we all know this was exposed prior to the mosley fight. cotto only beat margacheato in the second fight because manny gave cotto that orbital eye gift. before the stoppage margacheato was coming on

margacheato was mentally done before the fight...if you didnt know that boxing is 90% mental then as roger mayweather said "you dont know shet about boxing"

I would extend it to all fans. I don't know why you think I'm specifically attacking you or floyd fans

I was at Wembley for the Joshua fight and I would apply what I said to the 90k+ crowd who seemed to be deriving some sense of personal achievement from seeing an ex drug dealing chav win a game of punching just cos they share a passport

However from a sentimental pov I could forgive Filipinos or Kazakhs rallying behind GGG or manny as these are countries who do lack international recognition and there is something understandable about that. I watch the manny mayweather fight with some Filipinos in London I knew at the time and it did hit me that that fight was about more than just sport
