Tarver was said to be 210-ish when filming Rocky.

No briner that it will be tougher on Tarver.

All Nard has to do is train without worrying about cutting weight.

With how big he went when doing Rocky and thinking he was going to fight Tyson, Tarver is in for his toughest weigh in yet.

Everbody is saying diferently regarding Tarver's weight. Buddy McGirt said like around 205, and that weird dude David Pierce said 222.

Either way that's way north of 175. At 36 and with that weight he was pushing, I think he's going to have a tough time sweating down to 175 again.

Nothing would be more funny than to have a weakened Tarver drop a close fight to Bernard and cry afterwards about how the weight effected him.

I think Hopkins may benefit at his age from increasing his weight. It might give him a new lease being he won`t have to drain down and such. I think this will benefit Hop, especially in a long fight.

No doubt that it will be harder on Traver cutting on weight than Bhops goingh up.

Cutting down weight means eating less while training hard. This always results in your system being zapped out of energy.

I don't think weight is much of an issue

since we dont know the starting weight of either fighter its hard to say. losing weight is normally harder, but for post pro boxers weight control isnt that big a deal.

Obviously Hopkins will feel better than he does at middleweight. He didn't even crack 175 on fight night in his middleweight fights. It will be very easy and smooth sailing for him to make weight.

He will still have a naturally bigger, 185 pound man leaning on him though.

If you thought it looked easy for Hopkins to counterpunch (and hurt) Taylor in their two bouts, picture it to be much easier for him to counterpunch Tarver. Reason being is because he weighed 210+ not too long ago, dropping that weight will not only have an effect on his stamina, but his handspeed as well. Nard will take advantage of this and most likely be landing the counter cross from round 1 onward, I see Tarver doing alot of survival-based holding in this fight but nonetheless one I want to see...Tarver is goin down.

If that isn't enough evidence that Hopkins is going to **** Tarver's world up, then I'm sure you know how useful a straight right hand, right cross, etc are vs southpaws. Those shots are Hopkins #1 weapons, and he counters best with those shots as well. The same shots that are the southpaw's ultimate weakness.
