I don't know who I'd bet on since the judges can do what they want, but I'd bet a million that Ward does his best to make it boring. It's his only talent. I expect Kovalev to come out throwing serious blows this time though. He needs a knockout or at least multiple knockdowns this time.

I expect the same fight the second time around. Ward will tackle and wrestle. The ref will allow it all day and twice on Sunday. Kovalev will gas himself throwing actual punches, and the two will wrestle it out to a lame decision victory, probably for the home team again.

yeah but most people considered mayweather number 1 but they didnt respect him as such, they appreciated his skills but he didnt get respect like some fighters get. even when he beat pacquiao most casuals over here spoke negatively about him saying he was too defensive. saying that, even mayweather was far more entertaining than ward. the thing is noones gonna talk about ward when hes gone, there were no great nights, no massive hyped up events, he just sucks the life out of every fight and promotion, does zero to promote anything. why cant he just for one night decide to be somewhat entertaining and put on a show? the worst thing is he moans saying he doesnt get any credit....

I disagree. Although I think Kov won the first match, I'm going with Andre on this. Kov is too emotionally invested for me and I think that's gonna play into Wards hands. I think Ward will box and try to frustrate the heck out of Kovalev since Krusher may come in with reckless abandon because he's so into his feelings about the first fight.

Maybe so! Only afew months ago, we where made aware that Andre Ward was unable to do any roadwork or run during his training camp for Kovalev! (For me his legs looked weak and static during the first fight, and his conditioning looked off! But even still if he opts to box Kovalev, i think he is getting sparked out! he needs to force Kovalev into throwing short punches! take all of his power away, and then break him down slowly to the body!

If Andre Ward is to win, i think these will be the tactics he will use! He will fight him similar to how he fought Carl Froch, who is a another fighter who has plenty of power on his straight punches or bombs from long range! But as soon as you force him to shorten his punches he becomes less effective!

I think we're talking about different things. Floyd got a ton of credit. Ward gets a lot of credit. Are a large segment of fans entertained by them? No.

Respect for P4P boxing skills & respect for bringing high level entertainment in the ring are different & very few guys tend to have both of those things going for himself.

Yeah, I don't mean it to sound like a knock against Ward. His job is to win, and he'll be there to do that.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. I just think some here assume that a fighter has to do more like put his life in jeopardy in order to please the fans. The fight is the entertainment and like any form of entertainment, you need to go see the style that you like, just like music or anything else, and not expect someone to change their style completely for this or that person.
