Why Is Pac Getting A Free Pass?

Seriosly Pacs FOTD and has had 70 fights. He can fight who he wants if he can get away with it. Hes got nothing more to prove. If he wants to fight spence or thurman then its up to him.
Floyd claimed he was the best and is seen as the best, so he cant get away with fighting berto. There are people out there willing to prove floyd isnt the best. Dont hold the BEST title hostage.
Its not that difficultLast edited by hugh grant; 05-30-2017, 05:13 AM.Comment

He's keeping the belt hostage, somebody willing to actually fight good opposition could have it. We all know you pac turds hold Mayweather to a higher standard, because you know he's a greater fighter.Seriosly Pacs FOTD and has had 70 fights. He can fight who he wants if he can get away with it. Pacs held to far, far higher standard than Floyd. Thats why Floyd can fight Maidana, Ortiz and Berto and not THurman, Spence or Brook or Bradley even.
Pacs had far more fights than Floyd, more divisions so stop trying to compare Floyd to Pac. Floyds always try do as little as he can get away with and you promote that behaviour.Comment

Pacquiao has avoided GBP and Haymon fighters since 2009.Originally posted by hugh grantPacs held to far, far higher standard than Floyd. Thats why Floyd can fight Maidana, Ortiz and Berto and not THurman, Spence or Brook or Bradley even.

He got passes for fighting Bradley 3 times. Choosing Clottey over Mosley. Fighting a bullshit fight with Margarito. Etc....
Now he's started to avoid Top Rank guys, $20 mil for a Crawford fight.Last edited by Robbie Barrett; 05-30-2017, 05:28 AM.Comment

I'm not giving him a pass, and I'm not one of those who complained hard against Floyd-Berto either, the only complaint I had that time was I wished it would've been Khan, for him to finally shut up and get flattened again.Didn't we crucify Floyd for fighting Berto?
And rightfully so, but choosing Jeff Horn makes the Berto fight look like FOTY material.
Why isn't Manny fighting Porter, or Garcia, or asking Bud to move up.
Matthysse is ranked in the WBO, why not Lucas?
This is nuts, but I hope Pac gets a decent payday anyway.
If you are one of those folks who criticize other fighters for taking easy fights, you should be panning the Horn fight.
And since he also won the poll that Floyd made years ago.
Maybe the other guy was right; "the horn fight was so bad nobody even care to complain anymore" lol
But at the end of the day, it's way obvious Pac's days are over and he only offers 25% of his mind to boxing. He has politics, business etc. He doesn't even know who these top young guns are, nor does he research about them, their backgrounds, their styles, who to beat to get credit etc etc. who's popular and who's not.
When your goal is no longer to be the best, or to improve and learn, i think it's really best to retire.
Floyd was also on peak of everything when he retired, and still has a lot of buzz, hence the criticism.
Pac have not look amazing post floyd fight, and was constantly losing star power that's why attention and criticism are also way lesser.Comment

PAC can fight who he wants. He beat prime Barrera and jmm yet still floyd no1.
Floyd can fight maidana and berto yet still be no1.
So why wouldn't floyd do that. The standards for floyd have always been lower he's been allowed to get away with it his whole career.
His legacy has paid price for short term gain though. That's why most boxing fans around world consider PAC greater than floyd.Last edited by hugh grant; 05-30-2017, 07:10 AM.Comment

Exactly.
Give up the belt if you don't want to fight other contenders.
Or make this your last fight.Comment

He's holding a belt doe.
Belts the other champs want.
Either he vacates and does his senior circuit that way, or he fights, plain and simple.Comment
