I think GGG needs to get him out of there by the 8th. Canelo puts in great bodywork that could slow GGG down later in the fight and Canelo could take over the fight. The whole fight depends on Canelo ability to absorb the GGG power shots. If he can, he will win the fight. GGG has slowed down a bit it seems and CANELO puts his combinations together nicely which will win him rounds with the judges. Gonna be an interesting fight. Either way, GGG will get no credit for beating a "smaller" Canelo, or he will be "exposed" as a bum if he loses.

A lot of the perceptions on how this fight might go are based on how Golovkin looked against Jacobs (Jacobs made him look human) and how Canelo looked against Chavez (Chavez made him look like superman).
Just imagine that instead, we had Canelo vs Jacobs and Golovkin vs Chavez in the build-up.
Would Canelo have steam-rolled Jacobs ? Doubt it, not sure he would even win.
Would Golovkin have steam-rolled that version of Chavez ? Methinks Chavez would still be in hospital.
So the pre-fight perceptions could have been much different.
But styles make fights. Canelo doesn't have Jacobs size and foot movement, so there will be a lot more contact as they will be in each others range more often. I think to get punches home Golovkin will have to eat some, and Canelo has some pretty quick hands to counter with combos. The fight will come down to how Golovkin feels Canelo's counters - if he realises early he could be hurt, he will be more cautious and if its defence and tactical, it would make for close fight. If Golovkin isn't feeling Canelo's punches and starts to march through them, Canelo will get overwhelmed.
So an interesting fight, I suspect neither will take chances at outset and quite a bit of feeling out and getting the distance for at least a couple of rounds. I suspect someone will land something big around the 3rd, and a fight will break out. If Golovkin backs off and stays cautious, Canelo on points. If Golovkin goes berserk, it will be Hagler v Hearns II.
Canelo can't keep the distance with his feet like Jacobs did, he will have to do it with his fists.
