If they fought right now I would say Canelo wins in a 12 round decision. Most likely Unanimous.

If Liam Smith can last 9 rounds and a weight drained punching bag Chavez Jr can last 12 rounds. Then I can see Spence making it to the 12th round. Right now Canelo would win by decision though imo.

But in the future, who knows. We have to see how Spence develops.

That's a great fight. Spence has got the size, skill and power to hang with Canelo, no doubt. Actually I would probably favour Spence if they fought, he's got the power to keep Canelo honest, maybe even hurt him, plus just like Canelo, he's very fluid and dangerous in the pocket, some of the exchanges in this fight would be amazing.

Spence is only a year older than Canelo, if he becomes a big enough name, I can definitely see them clashing in the future

It's rather simple really. If Canelo can't KO Spence then he gets steamrolled and possibly stopped in the second half of the fight.

Canelo doesn't like to work at a high tempo and he gasses quickly. Soon as he gasses Spence is all over him and it will be downhill from there goes Spence doesn't let people rest and recover, once you start sinking it's over, you can't swimming on the surface again.

However, right now, Canelo has more experience and is a better boxer, he should outbox Spence early on. The problem is Spence's height and reach, Spence has that long, thudding jab so Canelo will have to find a way around that. Especially when/if he hurts Spence coz then Spence will try to use it to keep him at bay.

Whoever wins though it would be an awesome fight. The kind of fight people talk about for decades.

It depends on how well Canelo can counter Spence's jab. That jab can control an entire fight and if Canelo can deal with it he could come out on top. It would be a sublime fight if it ever came off.

Canelo boxes the ever loving shyt out of Spence, if spence is able to survive past 8, he may be able to outpoint Canelo with his Stamina, but Im not impressed yet, there are about 6-7 better welters than brook with better resumes, and Brook was laying all type of hands on spence.....Both Spence and Brook dropped down a notch after that fight to me.

Canelo will knock Spence out. Canelo fights in the pocket, meaning, everything that spence throws, he counters. Brook relied on clinching to weather the storm instead of counter punching, which allowed spence to work on the inside. With Canelo counterpunching at every oppurtunity, he would batter spence and eventually knock him out.

But he couldn't win ONE round from Mayweather.

Canelo is too big, skilled and will counter Spence all night. If Spence is durable he'll lose a UD, if not then he'll be out before the 10th.

Spence said the problem he had with Brook early on was his strength. Canelo is much bigger and stronger and will have that strength from the first bell to the last.

Canelo kills spence. Not only is he bigger and stronger but he's faster, more skilled, better defense and better chin. And do people realize that Canelo is actually younger then spence? Canelo hasn't even peaked yet. I can't find a single advantage spence has over canelo. Only question is how good is spence chin and will he last for a 12 round azzz whopping or does he get knocked out before that. As for their styles only fighters who have given canelo any problems are guys who fight off the back foot and are elusive to hit/refuse to stay in the pocket forcing canelo to chase them. Spence doesn't fight like that and his defense is not very. Canelo wants guys to come forward so he can counter you. Brook had him confused and stunned him a few times he was losing until brook gassed out the second half of the fight. Canelo has too many layers to his game and is too smart for spence you add the fact that he's 2 weight classes bigger.

Dont knock Canelo over that fight, that was a fight where Floyd was scared enough to bring his absolute A game, top 3 Floyd performance, Canelo was super sharp there he simply was bested in every facet

And canelo isn't still developing? He gets better every fight and is younger then spence. Spence just beat at best the 5th best welterweight in the world and his only top 10 ranked fighter in any weight class now he beats elite fighters at 154 and 160? LMAO
