Beibut Shumenov: I was shocked when I heard about his racist comments that he said in reference about African Americans. There was no misinterpretation or lost in Russian-to-English translation of what he said.

He will have to live with the derogatory words that he said in print and video. A lot of my team are African Americans, and they are more than members of my team, they are family to me. They have my back and I have theirs, and I have zero respect for racist views of any kind.

People are talking trash to publicise a fight, and I gave my opinion on Yarmark's trash talk on Kovalev. Whether Kovalev is or is not a racist is another matter.

For the record, I think he probably was racist against blacks when he came to the States, because of his ignorance about black people themselves - ignorance and fear are the root causes of racism - but I don't believe he's a racist now .. .just not a PC kind of guy.

Kov used up all is I'm ignorant excuses. I don't like Ward's style, I feel he gets away with too much, is too much of a diva out of the ring.

Kovalev (and Ward) is definitely an a**hole and the gorilla shirt thing for Stevenson was racist an inexcusable.

But there was absolutely nothing racist about the Ward post. It was funny, obviously not created by Kovalev or any of his people, and anyone who thinks that Ward and his team are really offended by that is crazy.

I noted Ward was half white cuz I think that IS something overlooked by even smart people talking about racial sh^t. I think many racist people (of many racial backgrounds) would find it offensive I view Ward as half white. I enjoy pissing racist people off personally.

That said that video wasn't racist. It was something funny in the context it was used in. SJW's don't care about funny or context doe. PC people don't care about funny or context doe. Its not that easy that saying the N word or posting something with the N word in it makes you racist. In fact I'd argue the people who believe that are the dumbest guys in the room during this sorta debate for trying to act like humor & context doesn't exist & that the N word's definition hasn't changed over the years for many people or that just using that word in any context is wrong.
