Racist "remarks" is a bit of a stretch. Kovalev didn't make remarks at all. He reposted a video, in which Ward considers (but doesn't) texting Kovalev, calling Kovalev N***.

Yeah, people need to actually watch the meme to see what the joke was before launching off on tirades based on what they were told.

The joke was that Kovalev types something and sends it as originally typed - ie just speaks his mind, and he uses m-fooker quite a bit. Ward endlessly types and deletes his messages (some of which originally include calling Kovalev ngga), point being he always ends up with a respectful response after deleting his initial curses.

You can choose to read racism in it if you really want to, but its a bit of stretch to be honest, and you really have to want to for whatever motive.

The point here is not just about this recent issue. Kovalev referred to Grover Young as a “thoroughbred N***A” in 2011. And he referred to Stevenson as a Monkey. That's all anyone needs to know about Kovalev to justify this recent outcry.

There is justification for this outcry. People often use a joke or one-liner to try to cloak a racial motivated comment and just because someone is joking or appears to be joking does not make it any less offensive and Kovalev has already made other racial statements which support this and other outcries. Not debatable.
