He isn't grouping them together just because the media put that in the quote. He is promoting his own fighters.

The thing is he could've done both and been effective. If he would've said some good things about Joshua and how if anyone can carry the sport now its him, mention that what Joshua needs is a rival, and then mentioned his guy at CW as a potential rival down the line, he would've endeared British fans to his fighter(s) while not pissing them off, but Floyd is not good at not pissing people off.

You trippin....NO ONE in the heavyweight division is going to carry the sport like Floyd did at LEAST not in the next 20yrs....and he is in the same group as Gervonta Davis and Badou Jack. A.J. only has 1 good win & its against a so-so heavyweight (klitschko). So why you so quick to put A.J. on top of the mountain? Right now Andre Ward is the P4P King.
