I saw a little bit of a video recently on Youtube where he went to the UK and a big ass crowd of Brits paid just to see him on stage answering questions from a moderator

Floyd started talking about how many "hoes" boxing brought him and they all started cheering, lmao. **** was cringe worthy as f**k.

Wow, they must be seriously lacking any form of entertainment over there.

Yeah that's odd AF. They have "an audience with..." nights over here pretty frequently, it's basically an opportunity for weirdo fans to verbally rim their idols.

They asked him about Joshua and he smoothly managed to name drop two TMT fighters instead.

That's good promoting if you ask me.

Carry the sport of boxing? Come on man... I know Joshua is their champ but there's 2 or 3 guys out there that could clean his clock tomorrow. And a couple more that would give him a good fight.

Sure enough, Floyd is one of the most envious people in the game. He'll go as far as holding back his own fighters if he's worried about them surpassing him in popularity. It irritates him to no end if he learns that someone else, right in the beginning of their career, has been earning seven figure sums (like AJ is doing now and how Khan used to). That's something Floyd never got close to doing and had to earn it the hard way.

But despite that, nothing of what he said there was wrong. To carry the sport, you need more than marketability. You need the skill-set also to see you through against your nearest competitors. Joshua's skill-set and talents as a fighter, probably wouldn't even see him in the top 20 of the world. So to then suggest he's the next person to carry the sport, is a bit far-fetched. Floyd rightfully ignored it and made the point that....calm your ****, because there are a long list of other much better fighters that are looking to do the same thing.
