Cotto should just go to HBO on his own. HBO ratings having exactly been spectacular and with GGG and Canelo up on ppv why wouldn't hbo want Cotto and his ratings this fall?

I wouldn't wish having Roc Nation as a promoter for any fighter. No matter how much may dislike said fighter.

This is the problem with guaranteed contracts that allow fighters to chose their own opponents. I like Cotto, and I think he still has a few good fights left in him. He wants the biggest paydays he can get for the least amount of punishment. His last fight was Alvarez, which was a dangerous fight to take for anyone, and Canelo came into that fight at least 15 pounds heavier. Not sure what all the hate is for this guy. He was willing to fight Kirkland, who can also be dangerous for anyone but that fell through. JMM talked about a fight but insisted on 147. Kamagai is a durable fighter who isn't showing up just to lose. Cotto should beat him convincingly.

From there, I would like to see Cotto vs. Brook at 154. Khan might be interested at 154 too. Diego Chaves is fighting at 154 now so he may be able to make that fight. He's never in a boring fight so I look forward to seeing him in the future.

can't blame cotto he jumped to roc nation because they offered him a bag full of cash. They likely lost money on every fight they made for Cotto simply because the min requirement he was owed was so large. They overpaid for Cotto and Ward hoping to jump start their promotion, get others to join and make a name for themselves. But now a few years later they can't afford to keep losing money every time Cotto fights and I can't be upset with Cotto because they promised him that money. Roc Nation has been a major flop and just a week ago they fired their match maker. Once Ward retires or completes his contract Roc Nation will be out of the fight game completely. Don't cry for guys like Cotto who were overpaid and got most of if not all their money they were owed worry about whatever young fighters signed with these fools they the ones who can't get fights and are stuck with a contract with a bad promoter.

If the deal is gone, he should retire.

Lol, actually I was looking forward to that fight. I think Cotto needs a fight like that in his first fight back after being out for so damn long. Then after that a big fight.

But who knows now. He might just fight once now.
