I'm confused..either you don't know the facts or you're a moron. His contract guaranteed him at least $50 mil for 3 fights. He just wants what was promised to him by bidding documents. If you get a job and the contract states you're salary under any circumstances will be $100k/year, would you settle for 50k/year?...yeah, I didn't think so eitherComment

Not necessarily. I think He was just looking to get the $$ he was due per the contract he signed with rocnation. Either way, I agree that he should fight a relevant opponent..i wouldn't mind JMMComment

I know Roc Nation has been taking heavy losses. And I'm sure Cotto was asking for what he signed on the contract for. Tough situation for both. I wonder how they worked out or will work out the contract termination. Anyway........
Well now that he's not with Roc Nation anymore.
He's going to have to be realistic with his purse if he fights a guy like Kamegai.
I think he should just fight 1 time and then retire. (Not talking about Thurman, Lol) I mean just once more as a farewell fight for his fans and then just retire.
I'm a Cotto fan and I can't even defend the way he's conducted his career since early last year. It's been comical and now it's just getting embarrassing with all the names that have been thrown out, the postponements, the cancellations. It's a damn joke now. And if he wants to fight a guy like Kamegai, I'm fine with that since he's been out of the ring so long. But he's got to be realistic about his purse if he's going to fight someone like that.Last edited by The Time; 05-19-2017, 01:04 AM.Comment

I don't know where you get the idea that he's one of the best Fighters at 154... He's probably like the 6th or 7th best fighter at 154.Comment

Hell no I wouldn't lol. But that's beside the point. If you have a contract in place, you must follow it. Arod is getting paid 30mils to sit on his ads this year because the Yankees don't want him around anymore. Dumb contracts are signed in sports all the time. Once they're agreed to, no matter what, as long as I do my end of the contract, you must do yours and that's pay up.Comment

This is actually great news. This means in theory, if I were the matchmakers at Roc, I would get Rigo the final fights he needs propah! Cotto and Ward got big dough under Roc, with Cotto's shares outta the picture, they can at least provide 5-10% of a Cotto promotion added to a Rigo bout.Comment
