The man is 9 years into his pro career and has had 30 pro fights. That is not too early at all. A problem no one wants to admit is that his career has stalled and at 29 (almost 30 man, that was an age when legends were already legends) he should not be claiming he needs more time to fight Pac or jumping at the chance to fight 147 pounders.
Exactly. I'm not speaking in terms of his age or years as a pro, I'm speaking in terms of whom he has beaten to make him great. No one.

Unless something changes I'm not sure he'll be able to get the names to make a name for himself.

Crawford needs to unify 140 and/or clean out 147 before we start talking greatness on any level. Get some big names on his resume.
Even cleaning out the division won't do much honestly. He ran through postol and no one paid attention. I love his talent level, his grit, his varied offense but it seems he'll always be on the cusp unless he gets a foil.

              No, just no!
He hasn't fought anyone good so far, wait til he moves to 147lbs and starts fighting guys his own size or bigger than him then we will see, but I think by that time he moves to 147 is when Spence goes to 154lbs, far too many live dangerous guys at 147.
              Shawn Porter would KO him.

Arum is his promoter and his opinion has to be taken with a sack full of salt. Many of Arum's future great picks didn't make it. In my opinion Crawford is very good but not the best and I don't think he ever will be the best. I think Canelo is ahead of him and Canelo is 26 to Crawford's 29. I think Spence has more potential than Crawford and Loma does too. That is my honest answer to your question. I mean no disrespect to Crawford. He has won all his fights with ease and he has some very good wins. Maybe he is as good as Arum says. I just don't think so.

Out of him, Loma, Garcia, Thurman, GGG, Canelo, etc. yeah, I think he has real potential to be the best out of those fighters. He's already unified the 140 lb. division, and beat the legit other best JWW in the world. Something no fighters besides Ward does anymore.

And if we're including Ward in the convo, he might be the best of this generation, and if he retired after another Kovalev win, it would incredibly hard to surpass what he's done in his career.
