Crawford is a special fighter. He needs stiffer challenges at this point to gauge whether he'll be the next best fighter. After the Diaz fight, he could try his craft at welter, where there are many good fighters. I also wouldn't mind seeing him fight Lomachenko at 140 before he moves on to welter.

The potential exists. Skillset is real. Seems mentally tough. He just needs to stay out of trouble outside the ring, start fighting higher profile names, and gain more fans outside Nebraska. He's going to be hard to beat when he settles at WW.

The man is 9 years into his pro career and has had 30 pro fights. That is not too early at all. A problem no one wants to admit is that his career has stalled and at 29 (almost 30 man, that was an age when legends were already legends) he should not be claiming he needs more time to fight Pac or jumping at the chance to fight 147 pounders.
