I think this fight is way less about the fanboys, such as myself, and more about the gate money that Bob is banking on from Australians lining up to actually get their shot at seeing a legendary name on their turf. They're expecting what, 55K to attend? A filled to capacity Suncorp Stadium?

Whatever Bob gets generated off the PPV influx has got to be secondary...I mean seriously, who outside of the absolute most diehard of the diehards are going to be getting Pacquiao/Horn on PPV? This fight is pretty much guaranteed to be Pacquiao's worst ever when it comes to his PPV numbers...

Manny is at the end of the road, he still has a bit of juice left though how much no one knows and I doubt a guy like Horn can test that.

Still Manny has had a long career and has proven quite a bit so he doesn't really have to prove more, if he wants that cool. If he doesn't want that, that is also fine because he is cashing in the chips he earned through many hard years.

If his fans want to enjoy it who cares Manny doesn't have that many fights left so they should enjoy while they still can. He should look great against Horn.

It is kind of why I can't consider him the man at 147 though, I get why he is in contention for that spot but there are a ton of tough fights out there with other guys putting in harder work. Still would like to see those fights a shame really they can't occur given the landscape.

Because Arum made a deal with Horn's promoter on another fight and probably the condition was having Manny fight his WW guy Horn. This way Manny can get an easy win (has there been any PED testing announced for this fight?) make some money and continue his career.

Hopefully, this is just a set up for a Crawford or Thurman fight next.
