I see people listing points but they all rely on him having power. Otherwise, his cutting off the ring, pressure, jab, etc don't work.
However, he DOES have power. So, we're just entertaining fantasies if we talk about him not having power.

Olympic silver medalist. Just outbox you on points like he did with lemieux. Great footwork, great jab, dosen't get hit when he dosen't want to, great timing, etc...

              GGG will bring constant pressure.

How doe you see this playing out?

              Also consider stamina
I think at distance and mid range Canelo has a great advantage. He's the more skilled and better counter puncher.

Where he's going to struggle is when Golovkin backs him to the ropes and tee's off, Canelo doesn't clinch, his defense is good but when someone gets inside he's not comfortable and rides the shots. Golovkin will get inside and I think Canelo loses there to GGG every time. Especially as he fades like you mentioned. Golovkin has a good engine and carries his power throughout.

My guess is GGG stoppage with Canelo up on the cards.

I agree with this. He has power, and so his style is largely focused around delivering it.

Also, there seems to be a blindspot among modern, American style trainers and fighters when it comes to Soviet style boxing. It is a different school, and they don't seem to appreciate some of the subtle things guys like GGG do (superior parrying and blocking for example). It is probably part of the reason why Soviet style guys are so effective. Even a semi-respected trainer like McGirt can look at GGG and only see power.

                  Exactly.

His power is extraordinary so taking it away is hardly fair.

                    Pre-Abel or Post-Abel?

Without Abel, you end up with an Eastern Euro stylist in the mold of Pirog (though likely nowhere near as fluid).

With Abel, you end up in a rough spot (taking all those shots to the face, without your own baseball bat, isn't the greatest plan).
