If his name was Gervonta Jones from Philly and had exactly the same career, you'd love him.
He paid the bribe to a third party, who pocketed the cash and just sent the WBA a letter asking to elevate him to super champ, who did. The WBA didnt get a penny of that bribe, Strum was just a fool.
From I read about it, the WBA expected to be paid $250k for elevating Sturm, but they got ripped off by the 3rd party, who kept the money for himself after Sturm got promoted.
