It's all always surprising how you get geeked up whenever Ward vs Golovkin situations come to topic. It's not about you cheerleadering for GGG its because Ward beat Froch!

You know... hows the weather in the UK?

IMO it's marketing. I've been talking about this and have been criticized. I think there was coordination between the camps to influence the narrative from a promotion standpoint as a means of making the fight even more lucrative.

Now we get to see how he looks with another supremely technical combination puncher with power, defense, and a champion's resolve.
True words were spoken! A great counter-puncher usually defeats a great boxer-puncher. I think Canelo on points because I think his defense, clean-punching, and experience will earn him a win on points. I'm banking on Canelo evading GGG's power punches, slipping his jab and countering all night long.

            Who is this guy?

Must be Golovkin's brother or the leader of his fanclub!

            Let me guess,

Golovkin taking out the dangerous Daniel Geale, the unheralded Curtis Stevens, the monster Dominic Wade, the frightening Matthew Macklin, the super tough Martin Murray, the game changer Gabriel Rosado, the legendary Marco Antonio Rubio, extremely skilled David Lemeiux, and the really slick Willie Monroe must give you all the confidence this guy can easily beat Canelo??

I understand, his resume cannot be questioned! Lol

He struggled mightly against a man him and his trainer thought was going to be another easy nights work!

In that fight we saw Golovkin do some dirty stuff to gain an advantage when his power couldn't bail him out once he knew Jacobs wasn't no bum!

He let a welterweight in Brook come up and light him up and even froze him in his tracks for a bit!

Canelo will finish what Jacobs couldn't and then you'll change your name from "bigdramashow" to "TheHi-TechMatrix"

GGG's stock took a hit due to looking like a mere mortal vs a smaller & quicker man in Brook....

and looking mortal again vs a bigger and more athletic man in Danny Jacobs.

Not everyone sees the same things though, that's why we watch & discuss and they fight the fights. I saw two good outings for GGG that didn't change my opinion of him. I will say that GGG has plateaued though as a fighter. He was still a work-in-progress in 2011-12 with Abel changing his style from boxer/counter puncher to the seek and destroy pressure fighter we now see.

Canelo's gotten better for sure. his hand speed is nice. not entirely sure if he can keep GGG honest and off of him though. Jacobs was able to do it but he had 10lb+ weight adv, fast hands, taller and rangier, and able to punch while on the move. Canelo only has the fast hands, and he's not as skilled as GGG.

              GGG KO 8

GGG's lack of competitive fights were shown when he faced Jacobs which was truly his first real test..GGG isa not this unbeatable fighter ya'll wanna make him out to be
You literally made a thread complaining that GGG fans are making excuses because they are not confident, make up you're mind already and stop crying.

GGG has just begun fighting legit fighters and he has struggled with them. Canelo has about 10 legit fighters on his resume. Basically, GGG fought a bunch of bums and looked like a world beater against them, but everyone questions him for it now. He spent years fighting no ones and it has to be brought up.

GGG deserves to be a slight favorite based on size and skill, but Canelo is not far off from him in those two categories and also has better hand speed and better head movement. Canelo's level of competition faced is way way beyond GGG's, that's why people are seeing this as a pickem fight.

I still have GGG winning this fight. People say he struggled but he took some big shots from Jacobs and even managed to knock him down. Also, canela fought Homer Simpson his last fight. What exactly would you take away from that? That he can punch and punch and punch? Any boxer should be able to do that against a freaking punching bag. If anybody is getting slept it is going to be saul. Another thing people talk about him like he is Floyd with his defense not even close. He is going to get tagged this fight.
