I wonder if Ward skipping the face off made HBO say **** it once and for all, we're done doing favors for RNS if their top fighter is going to keep spitting in our face, we're not buying that ****ty Cotto card after all, so now maybe RNS needs to find a new TV partner, and maybe they're just trying to spin it like the card is too soon now, as if they didn't know who the opponent was a month ago...

Who knows. Just a crazy conspiracy theory. But the timing is just interesting, since reports were that HBO was only buying this card as a favor to RNS in the first place, the week after Kovalev-Ward II. Then RNS top fighter Ward skips the face off a few days ago, and suddenly that Cotto-Kamegai card is up in the air... just saying, but it could obviously be totally unrelated.
