Furthermore, the counter offer from Ward was after Lemieux fight was signed. Add to that, GGG was expecting Cotto-Canelo winner to honor his mandatory status. Like Loeffler said then, If Ward can make 168 in 2017, then it's a possibility

So obviously the fight with Lemieux would continue to move forward and the next fight would be Andre in 2016."

The point is here, that Golovkin did in fact make an offer to Ward, which flies in the face of the lie told by Cobra. Cobra said Ward sought out GGG, when in fact, it was GGG that sought Ward. That's the context of this thread here

In fact it's a low for Golovkin, he was willing to fight others at 168. You're trying to turn it in to a positive and it's not going to work, it was a bitch move and not a serious offer.Last edited by Robbie Barrett; 05-11-2017, 10:34 AM.

ggg was wbc mandatory. ward knew ggg would never sign to fight him and thats why he included the tune up. no one ever calls out ward for that bullsh-it. "ward was ready to fight" lol! not really. if he was ready to fight he offers to fight right now not in the same exact period as ggg is planning to have a huge fight. the first half of 2016...aka when ggg was plannign to fight for the wbc belt since he had been mandatory for a year and the wbc had already given cotto an optional. people trying to revise history since the figth that should have happened didn't but we only found out these events long after ward's "offer" and 50-50 lmaoLast edited by daggum; 05-11-2017, 10:39 AM.

Are we forgetting "the smaller man" was trying to make fights at 168 but asked for 164 against Ward.
Are we forgetting that Golovkin promoted himself by saying he'd fight ANYONE from 154-168?
The 164 offer was a duck, clear as day, sad that you'd even try to bring it up as a genuine offer.
