He's already the #2 P4P. When he ko's that bum back to Kahtarzan, he'll definitely be #1 P4P. He'll def be in the top #5 greatest boxers of all time.

I mean literally replace Kirk with GGG....

What if Nelo does 3XG nasty just like that.......

Where do you place Nelo in the all time annels of boxing history?? ATG? GOAT? Just another Champ...Just another chump??

      why??

      wachugot?? ok................GO!
If the fight ends that way, it'll come down to either him or Andre Ward (assuming that Ward beats Kovalev in the rematch) as the p4p best fighter in the sport. [HBO will spin things for the draw under their banner, but there's nothing new about that]

How that impacts Alvarez's all-time status will be left to be seen. If he were to take on Saunders and end up unifying the belts, he'd be the unquestioned middleweight kingpin, after being the top junior middleweight (while Floyd was the kingpin at 147lbs and 154lbs). He'd have a real argument for being the best Mexican fighter to ever put on a pair of gloves, and I'd say that he'd put himself well up on that top-50 list of best fighters ever.

Still, Floyd's the bar for most modern fight fans, and he wouldn't be Floyd [130lb king, 135lb kingpin, 140lb champion, 147lb kingpin, 154lb kingpin, over a career that may have seen 3 closely debated fights while fighting arguably 10 fighters heading into the IBHOF].

Add 168lb kingpin, and Alvarez not losing another fight for the rest of his career, and you're cooking with gas

That'd be great... But uhhhh, he'd still have an awful lot of work to do to even sniff GOAT status. P4P #1? Sure. Buuuuuuuuuut GOAT might be pushing it.

Resume actually means something to me and GGG has the worst resume I've ever seen for the hype he receives. They are using regular WBA "title" defenses to compare with Hopkins title defense record, which is moronic imo(and I hate Hopkins). Nobody knows how good GGG actually is... it's sad that Canelo will be his 1st quality opponent(yeah that means I don't rate Jacobs highly at all or anyone on GGG's resume thus far).
            Danny Jacobs and Lemieux..........?

Taking GGG out in 3 rounds. Canelo's best chance is to use his speed, land quick combos and counters, and get out. He is good in the pocket, but he would be outgunned and GGG has a solid chin. Canelo isn't even that big of a puncher.

I agree in part, but generally I give him more credit than you do. I don't consider him to have a middleweight resume at all right now, though. He is just bouncing around at random catchweights, usually fighting 154 guys or smaller. I would give him a ton of credit for beating GGG (I don't think he will), but he's still got some work to do in his career to be a bonafide ATG at middleweight.

Depends If he earned the victory, no point coming out battered and bruised and to expect the people to say oh yeah you got the nod we didn't agree with it, but sure you're now ATG that happened with Erislandy Lara and to an extent Trout as well.
