A lot of people are shitting on this and rightly so but Im happy for the dude. Ive read some stuff on him, you gotta pull for a dude that has come back from some of the **** he has from his childhood all the way to being a 400lb blob.

He gets murdered after this fight but he will have one more moment in the sun.

Yeah just a few years ago He was on oxy xanax and all type of pills now he's fighting for a title again. He also got asthma so he can't fight more then 3 or 4 rounds.

I watched a podcast he was on the other day. He said he has had asthma since he was a child. he claimed it doesnt affect him anymore but he said he has had asthma attacks many times in a fight which explains a lot. I had no idea about it until this last week.

Yea, I'm on the "Let's Go Champ" train. I love seeing a boxer fight adversity and, for Shannon, it's age and no promoters wanting to give him a decent fight against their guy. If you're a young, promising guy like AJ or Deontay you get fed bums to prop you up in the spotlight until you're ready for that big shot. Briggs has been killing his share of bums too but no one wants him around. I like seeing him self-promote and do whatever it takes to put food on his plate. He might not make it past that next step but that old lion isn't going to lay down and die.

The only reason I would go to see this fight at the arena is there are not to many boxing events in south Florida. At least they will have other boxing celebrities in the building
