I told everyone jacobs was no pushover for g,but hes not elite either,hes a b+ fighter,the + is because he outlanded gi in power shots total & in 8 individual rds. But a guy cannot say hes elite until he beats elite fighters. Chavez jr had the highest prct. Of all compubox fighters,was an ex-lineal mw champ,& is far bigger than jocobs. Before the gigi fight jacobs was an 8-1 underdog jr was only an 4-1 underdog vs canelo, the difference is canelo massively stepped his game up & made it look easy,while gigi was horribly unprepared for jacobs to go 12,& for jacobs to hit so hard. Face it gigi didnt want to trade with jacobs & started headhunting instead,while canelo made jr scared to throw anything because as soon as he did,canelo pieced him up with vicious combos,jr just didnt want to get kod because he thought it would make him nelos bltch for life & he wanted to be able to say he was drained,(which as expected he did say).

I only consider gigi" borderline elite" because hes mw & mw is a shlt division, he has several c+ or c fighters he ko'd, is undefeated @ least,& he has good skills,its only because mw is such shlt like boxing in general that hes that,because by definition if your less shlt than your division @ least your among the few top fighters in your weight class. Elite or semi elite doesnt =greatness imo though it just means you can hang with the best.

U know what your right on 2nd thought hes not even elite,hes like a 35 yr old no1 contender with 3 gift vacant belts. Jacobs is a pretty good fighter though so I give him credit even if I think he got a gift,@ least hes now challenging himself too,cant hate on that,I think he will never be considered a hofer unless he fights ward & @ least makes it close if he beats nelo,& doesn't cherrypick frm here on out. tbh i thought chavez would put up a better fight. he was clearly drained. I figured Canelo would ud him after a few shaky moments. I really didnt see canelo stopping Jr because I know Canelo isn't really that hard of a puncher, he's too muscle bound. He's a good counter puncher and has skills tho

Absolutely spot on,canelo will push gigi everytime on the counter. And he will break him down slowly & pressure him as the fight wears on,so basically im predicting the same thing I did before Nelo v Jr. But this time it wont be one sided. I'll go out on a limb & predict gigi gets beaten 8-4 ud. Canelo will swell up gigis eyes & bloody left 1,same thing I said v Jr that came too true. Canelos a much better boxer than gigi & is now in his prime. Gigi is like a heavier kostya tszyu hell crumble vs the elite. I think the difference is, ggg vs jacobs was a competitive fight. Canelo had jr completely outclassed and just coasted for 12 rounds.

I tip my hat to you for at least listing valid reasoning, even though I disagree. I will say one thing though,whether the judges saw it differently,NOBODY can say that g won by 2 rds plus the kd & say their not biased,1 judge @ least didnt give it to gigi by more than 1 point this was a close fight at the very least if you say jocobs lost,the kd shouldve been the difference if your being generous to gigi,but to say he won by 3 points,no way in hell.

I was right there with you but then you went a little over the line. Its real easy to give GGG a 3 point win. You give GGG 7 rounds and take away a point from Jacobs because of the knock down and boom...3 point difference. You take one round from GGG and give it to Jacobs and its a one point difference because of the knockdown. So you don't need to be a nuthugger to give GGG a 3 point win. You can still see the fight as razor close but have GGG winning by 3 points.

I don't see it. I see this fight playing out much in the same way as GGG's fight with Jacobs. The difference being that Canelo doesn't have Jacob's reach, power and athleticism. GGG won't be as respectful of Canelo's power as he needed to be against Jacobs. He's going to cut the ring off, back him up with a jab that's harder than most people's straight right hands and bludgeon Canelo into submission. Canelo won't go down quickly but GGG's fight with Jacobs also showed he can go a hard 12 rounds with a big puncher. That's still an unanswered question for Canelo.
