You can definitely bet that it's nowhere near the initial 8-figure offer.
$2m-$3m as the guarantee, the Germany rights to the fight, and $5 for every PPV buy beyond 750k PPVs (with the Mexico money and the rest of the international TV money satying with Alvarez) is my guess, but who knowsComment

Well this certainly should force a ton of people on here to stfu about A-side and B-side and how one was using the others name. This website is going to be a lot lighter come September 17th 2017 someone has to win and someone has to lose. Someone should create an account bet thread to get shh going. Save us the time of the username changes come the 17th.Comment

That is pretty specific for a "guess" bro.You can definitely bet that it's nowhere near the initial 8-figure offer.

... the Kovalev-Ward PPV was led by Main Events. No idea how you got around to spinning that and putting it on Ward, lol.
Outside of the Paul Smith fight (RocNation getting no TV money, and having to shell out for the BET TV time), RocNation has likely done just fine on Ward's fights.
How can Roc Nation be losing millions on each fight, when Andre Ward is maybe seeing $2m-$3m per fight?Comment

not quite sure what you're talking about but here's my view on the fighters you mentioned in terms of their connection to ggg
Cotto - probably wouldn't have ever faced ggg. Too small and made more money facing Canelo.
Martinez - with the injuries, he wasn't going to risk coming back to take on ggg. Fighting cotto was a safer fight and better financially.
Ward- would've beaten ggg and gggs team probably didn't want to take that risk.
Froch- chose to retire rather than face ggg.
Lara- has been calling out ggg and gggs team probably ignored it because nobody looks good vs Lara.. Ever.
The problem with Canelo is nobody else mentioned has called out ggg to enter the ring after one of their fights and then give up their belt 2 weeks later to decline making a mandatory defense. The perception of doing that makes it way worse to boxing fans and facing significant underdogs in khan, beefy and Chavez jr instead of ggg didn't help that perception.
not talking about who would win, etc
just saying that Golovkin fans bashed those fighters mercilessly for YEARS, calling them cowards, etc..... much worse than Golovkin got bashedComment

thats easy, main events guaranteed their fighter a purse in line with what the event was projected to generate. You know, like every other promoter in the world besides Roc and Haymon.... the Kovalev-Ward PPV was led by Main Events. No idea how you got around to spinning that and putting it on Ward, lol.

there was a revenue split beteen Main Events and Roc Nation, and each side was responsible for paying their own guy. Main Events didnt lose money. Roc did. THATS why its put on Ward......Comment

There are multiple revenue streams on a fight, and there's no way that Alvarez/GBP is going to cut Golovkin in on everything.
$3m is his share on the fight, K2 gets to shop the fight for the best deal in Golovkin's most lucrative home market, and Golovkin gets the back-end upside that his camp thirsted after (relatively simple math puts Golovkin's share at ~15% of the upside).
nothing wrong with an educated guessComment

Yeah that seems to be true :ANYWORD:
I remember a poster (can't quite recall who it was) who always used to push the agenda, and make threads about Loeffler and K2 being difficult to deal with. However, I've never heard anything like that being said from any rival promoters.Comment
