No announcement yet.
The only thing slipping is Golovkin fans confidence in the guy.

It's funny because I see Canelo doing better at first and Golovkin doing better down the stretch. I think that long jab is going to be very effective from the outside for Golovkin, and even more effective than it was against Jacobs considering the reach advantage. I think that Canelo is a respectable puncher but Golovkin doesn't have to rush in if he can outjab Canelo as I think he will. That's a very hard jab. I think boxing at your own pace against Chavez is alot different to the pressure that Golovkin puts on, and I think he's good middleweight chin will prevail against Canelo's respectable power. At least in September we get a chance to see how it all pans out.
Golovkin's best weapon in this fight, and it can win him the fight is that jab. It is the punch that I think works for him at the higher levels, it kept him in the fight against Jacobs, and he won rounds off it. I agree, it is as good as a power punch. I just have a feeling that Canelo will be ready for it and he has fought a fighter with a world class jab in Cotto who is naturally left handed and he countered that jab after the 2nd round. Golovkin's jab is more powerful and he has a height and reach advantage so it will be a factor in the fight, lets see how much of a factor.
I strongly feel Canelo has been constantly underestimated throughout his career, I think a lot of his learning curve has been under the spotlight and that puts him in a position to be criticised. He does have a weakness around boxers and movers, and that has also been exposed, but I stress at the elite level.
Overall he has been underrated by a lot of the inner boxing fraternity and I think this fight will be the culmination of that. After this fight - if he wins the way that I think he will, most likely he will get overrated, and I will be sitting here arguing with all the people who are overrating him.

Someone confidently betting you that Golovkin would win then saying after the fight that he lost because his gloves were the wrong color would be an excuse.
Someone saying they no longer like Golovkin's chances in future fights because he's looked usually flat and tired from the opening bell in his recent wins is not an "excuse". That isn't what the word means.
This transcends the GGG thing. Anyone who makes any observations or analysis about a fighter on here is told they're "making excuses". It keeps the conversations ultra-dumb.Last edited by ////; 05-07-2017, 04:55 PM.

You likely use 'excuse' to refer to any observation or choice you don't agree with. IE if a woman says she doesn't want to date you because she's not attracted to you, you announce with a toothless mouth and crossed eyes that you're "sick and tired of all these fancy excuses".
No, a clearly stated opinion about the outcome of an event prior to that event taking place based on clearly stated observations is not an "excuse".
People admitting they've lowered their confidence levels in a boxer based on his recent performances is not an "excuses". Nobody can have a serious boxing conversation or analyze where a fighter is in their career on here because the helmet-clad "excuses" guy arrives within minutes and stinks the place up.Last edited by ////; 05-07-2017, 05:35 PM.

Golovkin eat punches and can't defend an uppercut, if he doesn't get Canelo out of there early he's in for a world of trouble.
