What would be Golovkin's gameplan against Canelo?

Both of these guys are far from being my favorite fighters to watch.

But this time I feel like Golovkin bit off more that he can chew. Tried shoes that doesn't fit. Ended up in the wrong neighborhood. Got in the wrong cab with no driver. In other words he's ****ed up.

Judges won't give him a decision in a close fight, that's for sure and he can't KO Canelo either - this mother****er has good chin and can recover fast

So what would be better gameplan for Golovkin? Get cautious and defensive like he did against Lemieux and keep Canelo at the tip of his jab? Or turn it into a brawl like Brook's fight, hoping to break Canelo's will?

We dont know this yet at 160. GGG is a real hard punching middleweight we will see how canelo handles it

well if he fights like he did against jacobs he loses. if he fights like he did against brook he loses cause the crazy judges had him losing. he has to get the ko but its going to be hard to rack up enough damage. canelos team are making a calculated risk that they can survive 12 rounds

GGG gotta attack the body and cut the ring, using accumulating shots that slow Canelo down. We know Canelo is flat footed and shorted than GGG. So it would give GGG an advantage to corner him and tee off.

I think if GGG can land a overhead left, he could rock Canelo.

And to be honest there isn't much there to stop GGG, Canelo isn't gonna move around alot and jab him like Brook or Jacobs.

Also if you think of GGG as a evolving fighter and not just a robot, he probably learned from his past two fights and is getting better at handling tough fights.

          GGG KO 8th

Believe Golovkin would train hard to box but plan to punch. Pressure, pressure, pressure. That is the game plan but training would be about technique and boxing technique.

seek and destroy. as always. canelos easy to find. dont get me wrong, canelo will have success, he'll land combos, in fact in the early rounds i think people might start creaming their pants that golovkin might lose. but canelo will fold, trust me on that. this is golovkins moment.

What is this? Canelo hasn't fought anyone even close to GGG's power. He absolutely can KO Canelo and I have no doubt he'll drop him at some point.

Golovkin's plan should be to do what he does best - cut off the ring and force brawling. He is far heavier handed than Canelo so he has the advantage in exchanges. If he continually pressures Canelo and lands consistently he'll stop him before the final bell.

Get the jab going, cut the ring, take one to hit one risks since he has the more powerful shots. GGG should be ready to get hurt too if he wants to push and punish alvarez. The tougher guy will last unless alvarez has a game plan to outbox him and fight at the backfoot like jacobs did, which i doubt canelo can execute better.

If canelo makes ggg respect his power in the early rounds, ggg might hesitate and would approach cautiously.
