  • I'm not too popular, I guess. I didn't watch, but "my" people, the ones that didn't invite me, are crying about it on the media. Good. $70 stinker. On top of regular cable fees? The Lonesome kid can't afford it.

    • Can anyone tell me what Nachos gameplay was for this? Did he want Chavez to conserve energy or something and hope Canelo punches himself out late in the fight? I mean Jesus. He fought like he didn't have a heartbeat. He must've over trained.

WELL IS FINALLY HERE FOLKS! GGG VS CANELO
Think you are over thinking it! I think it was after the 9th round, Eddy Reynoso tells Canelo to make sure he's not too hasty in trying to knock out Chavez. Maybe Chavez is waiting to pull another Sergio Martinez in the 12th round. Sounds to me like Canelo corner were happy with the way the fight was going and didn't want to take any risks! Can't fault a fighter for listening to his corner!

                • I don't know if we can blame Chavez' horrible performance on his trainer or his training, I think he was in a good shape, I don't think he was drained, Canelo just landed a couple of solid punches early and Chavez became extremely gun shy for the rest of the fight, Chavez wasn't breathing heavily and he was moving the whole fight, he was also able to take all Canelo's punches without being visibly hurt.

The problem was Chavez' heart period, he didn't want to risk getting KOed so he chose to survive, I think Nacho's game plan was to move the first couple of rounds to get Canelo to punch himself out since he has history of fading a bit late and then come back later and put pressure on Canelo, the first part worked but Chavez didn't have the heart to put enough pressure on Canelo, Canelo would move himself into the ropes and stay there waiting for Chavez and Chavez was too relcutant to do anything of significance in fear of being countered. Canelo fought a tremendous fight and I think he punches even harder and his stamina is even better now at the higher weight, can't wait for the fight against GGG and I wouldn't be surprised if he stops GGG.

                  • What a mismatch. he should have fought Heiland, Derevyanchenko or something like that. And his next fight is GGG, lol.
