It'll be Wilder - Joshua in the fall of 2018. The writing is on the wall.

At least Oscar is consistent. He has stated in the past that he would want to work with Joshua, Spence, Thurman, and Ward.

I just don't see Anthony Joshua doing or wanting to do this. I will say this Golden Boy Promotions has done a very good job with their shows so far this year. Canelo vs Chavez Jr. has generated the most buzz so far this year.

Side Note apparently Al Haymon, Sam Watson, and Oscar De La Hoya were all together last night. Interested to see what comes of that news.

Eddie hearn runs sky tv who is a sister network of fox news... He has connections at fox news already and joshua is friends with that british lat night show host on cbs james cordon.... I expect joshua to be on that show soon.... All eddie needs is a high priced hollywood publicist to promote eddie.... I am a fan of al haymon but al is horrible at promoting his fighters.... Pbc should have hired the best media pr people but they didnt.... Eddie will do it all by himself he is the new don king!
You're too f#cking high or drunk or pill'd up my friend lol.

Idk wtf Canelo or Haymon gots to do with anything I asked. I really don't know what Joshua's TV host friend has to do with a goddamn thing.

I'm just wondering if its that difficult for a UK to promoter to get a US promotional license that for some reason any sorta team up would be necessary for Hearn? I coulda swore Hearn has actually done a US show already once or twice. Its a simple question that has no affiliations with any other party being relevant at all.

Or B+ troll post. Either or. You confuse me as much as MTC sometimes. You two getting into a debate might be the most hilarious thing this site has ever seen.

just seems like a weird suggestion. He definitely won't be working with GBP though lol
It's not a suggestion, it's prediction based on what's already happening

Stop quoting bogus amounts from the promoters. Look at the revenue Joshua klitch did how money was the live gate? And how much off those little 20 buck PPVS? Now go look up what canelo/cotto drew for a live gate which canelo/Chavez has already surpassed. Canelo/chavez selling ppvs at 70 bucks MORE then 3X Joshua. And this fight is predicting close to 1m ppv buys. Canelo/chavez sold tickets at what avg price 800 bucks a ticket. Joshua fight was about avg 100 bucks a ticket. Thats why you get a larger live gate off 20k tickets in vegas then 90k in the UK but with cheap tickets. And make more money off 1m ppv X 70 bucks then 1.5m ppv X cheap 20 bucks in UK. And I didn't even mention the Mexican tv deal where the 2 major tv stations paid out the nose to both get the rights to broadcast it. And they sold rights to every other country. The fight today will make more money then the Joshua fight last week that is just a mathetatical fact. Not only will Chavez fight generate more money it will be close to double.

Joshua is going to come to the US because it just makes too much business sense to tap in on some of that money that he is leaving in the table by only fighting in the UK. Makes sense have some showcase fights build your brand here to add on to what you already have back home.

Sure Canelo vs Jr may make more cash than AJ vs Wlad. But that fight is an anomaly, Canelo will only make that again if he ever fights GGG.

Fact is Joshua makes more money in the U.K. Than he does in the US.

Really so if he does a rematch with chavez it won't make more money? A fight with GGG makes more then chavez and likely more money then any fight joshua will ever make especially if he stays in the UK. I know you guys all giddy over records set in the UK but none of those numbers even crack what floyd, manny and now canelo generate in vegas. Again the tickets sold cost almost 10x more and the ppvs are sold for over 3X more. So for joshua to match the revenue from a typical 1m big PPV in vegas he would need to sell 3.5m UK PPVS and sell 140,000 tickets. Do they build stadiums that big in the UK? He'd have to come to the states to get that money or you need to flip the entire UK price model and charge more for tickets and ppvs and see if UK fans go for that.

He's not coming here unless he can get a fight that generates something above a $50 million purse for the fighters.

I get what you're saying, but realistically there's only one guy who has the potential to deliver that number; Wilder. Eddie already implied they plan on having that one fight w/ Wilder at MSG. He's not coming here until at least the fall of 2018.

They're are looking at Principality Stadium (75k), Bird's Nest Stadium (91k), and Wembley (90k) for his next few scraps (mentioned MSG after these). Also are thinking about a scrap in Nigeria (didn't mention a site).
