Almost as shocked as I am Chavez went lower then the limit remember fought tooth and nail for that half lb in negotiations and gave it up on the scale, but almost as shocking canelo went up to 164 I predicted he would come in 160. But it might mean nothing more then he is going to rehydrate less and arrive at same destination. For example if he cut weight to make 160 but came in the ring 175 after rehydration and instead made cut less to easily make 164 but eats less overnight o he comes in the same 175 there is really no difference.

But If he tries to pack on too much weight that will just slow him down tomorrow.

Yeah Chavez Jr. didn't look as bad as I thought. But man he looked really skinny and thin, rail thin. You can tell he suffered to make that weight. But he didn't look completely dead and out of it as I thought.

I'm even more surprised that they both weighed in at exactly the same weight of 164.

I'm guessing Canelo enters the ring anywhere between 175 to 180, max.

According to Memo, Chavez Jr. is going to weigh between 182 to 185 going in to the ring.

This might not be a bad fight. The undercard is good and the main event may be better than I thought it would be. Looking forward to seeing this card tomorrow.

Canelo wins by decision...Chavez's best chance is to land that left to the body all night to stop him, it's his best punch....or land right on the button and get lucky with a K.O.

Chavez made weight. That is very impressive considering for past few months this site has been talking like he no chance to make weight.
Canelo has zero excuses. Should be a fun fight!!!
