I cant imagine ESPN charging 50 bucks for this card (although it might as well be worth it compared to others) but I feel even $34.95 is a bit steep, personally $24.95 would seal the deal. HBO did that with the Spadafora vs Holbaek card and Kushner does it with his Heavyweight Heroes billings, so I would gladly throw it down. However if that card wasnt on PPV, My god could you imagine the ratings? Toney vs Booker drew in 1.0 (1 million viewers), When Cintron appeared on NBC's boxing series it got about a 1.3. This would pull in some MEGA ratings for the network and would be a perfect opportunity for them to put Pro boxing back on the broadcast network and make it seem as if top quality fights could be made and still not have to be on PPV. But the purses will be far to high for ESPN's checkbook to even consider this.

Hell Mosley alone is probably banking a good bit, Im also curious to see who they say Mosley fights under now...Could be King or GBP, I predict Finkel myself.
Yeah, about that...last spring was the second time that NBC gave boxing a try on Sat's..and it was during the day so it didnt overlap with any night time boxing. Apparently the first season of doing that went so well (the ratings) that they not only did it again the next spring, but they increased the number of fights ..I remember watching 5 Sat's in a row last time! Last spring they had not only Cintron but also: Rocky Juarez, Francisco "Panchito" Bojado, Juan Diaz?? ; in other words NBC kicked ass (for free!!) for several weeks, back to back. Theyre supposed to do it again this coming spring and hopefully there will be twice as many fights scheduled. If you can stand Raul Marquez commentating (I'm use to him by now thanks to HBO Latino ), then it's all good! God I LOVE it!!!!!

Dont buy the pay per view, wait for the rerun, repeat, than they will notice, and have to lower their prices, and get right.

They got really good ratings all above 1.0, I realize those are not primetime numbers or anything but hardly anybody is home or even watching tv on saturdays at 3 to 5pm in which the card aired (except maybe us) I think if NBC would put it in a primetime slot it would have done some pretty good numbers, but that is a huge risk and unfortunately NBC will use the contender ratings to probably determine their future on boxing. Although you dont have to be an expensive cable subscriber to get NBC and that would pull in more ratings. One thing not to forget is that nbc/abc ruled boxing for many years on television in the past and constantly aired Ali and Leonard fights. So SOMETHING must have been done right.

Im also curious to see the kind of ratings HBO/Showtime fights pull in, It was rumored that to become an HBO exclusive fighter you had to pull in ratings around the 3.0 mark. I cant believe it, however you put Oscar De La Hoyas ass on a primetime slot on any of those channels (abc/nbc/fox/cbs) and in a ring and you can bet your behind that their would be ratings above the 6.0 mark, which would have done better numbers than JOEY.

Margarito vs Cintron in my book are not when fighting certain fighters but when in their with a drawing name or in this case fighting themselves, it will make for a very interesting and exciting match between two sluggers.

Are you people serious? That card is garbage and guys are acting like its the Revenge card from 94.

Diaz vs Elder- EASY fight for Diaz anyone who thinks Elder will even be competative is blinded by his entertaining style and not looking at his actual skills.

Mosley vs Estrada- Mosley is washed up and this is still an EASY win for him.

McCline vs Brock- Someone want to tell me what either of these two guys have ever done to be regarded as good?

                Margarito vs Cintron- Good fight

These are all top names, please tell me a card that has had major players in their divisions from beginning to end in the past 5 years?

No there not Brock, McCline, Estrada and Elder will never be top guys in there divisions and are not considerd "Major Players".

Shane Mosley is sliding big time.

                      Best card in recent memory

                      DLH vs Sturm
                      Hopkins vs Allen
                      Castillo vs Lazcano
