Probably one of the best cards in a LONG time, the whole card from start to finish has some exciting fights on it, which is hardly to be said for most big time ppvs. Each fighter in my book are fighting credible opponents and it will make good fights. I cant imagine ESPN charging 50 bucks for this card (although it might as well be worth it compared to others) but I feel even $34.95 is a bit steep, personally $24.95 would seal the deal. HBO did that with the Spadafora vs Holbaek card and Kushner does it with his Heavyweight Heroes billings, so I would gladly throw it down. However if that card wasnt on PPV, My god could you imagine the ratings? Toney vs Booker drew in 1.0 (1 million viewers), When Cintron appeared on NBC's boxing series it got about a 1.3. This would pull in some MEGA ratings for the network and would be a perfect opportunity for them to put Pro boxing back on the broadcast network and make it seem as if top quality fights could be made and still not have to be on PPV. But the purses will be far to high for ESPN's checkbook to even consider this.

Hell Mosley alone is probably banking a good bit, Im also curious to see who they say Mosley fights under now...Could be King or GBP, I predict Finkel myself.

              I'd buy it.

But I'm in Blighty, which means I can't.

This country is ****, football has a monopoly on televised sport.

So gay, so very, VERY gay.

I doubt it will be that low, it carries marquee names. I know ESPN put on a few fight cards last year if anyone could remember the prices they charged for those then that would possibly give you the best idea, although that is one jam packed card that could easily be charged $49.99

Jameel McCline-Calvin Brock Looking Good As Well!
February 08, 2005 - Main Events April 23 PPV on ESPN is rapidly becoming MUST SEE TV for all fight fans. As you know, WBO welterweight champion Antonio Margarito versus undefeated interim champion Kermit "The Killer" Cintron is the planned Main Event, and in what should be no surprise to BT readers, WBA lightweight champion JuanDiaz will face the always exciting Ebo Elder on the undercard. **********.com now understands that a heavyweight showdown between Jameel McCline and unbeaten Calvin Brock is in the works and looking good, as is former three division champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley's return to the welterweight division to take on up and coming contender David Estrada. Carl Moretti from Main Events was unavailable for immediate comment. Mosley's representative Judd Burstein, informed **********.com, "We've been in serious negotiations and all I'm waiting for is a proposed contract." We will continue to keep you updated so stay tuned! Remember Where You Heard It First! (4PM ET)
What irritates me the most about this is I seem to remember that ESPN 2 was one of the main channels that was in the habit of complaining all the time about ppv charges, and how those fights should be free and they would end up hurting the sport. Maybe I'm confusing them with someone else, but it seems to me that Kellerman and Kenny (and maybe even Atlas) usually atleast mentioned that once during each show....that these promoters, etc.. that kept demanding ppv prices were bad for the sport. Help!! Am I confusing them with another channel or what?? I'll rent the damn thing, but I wont be very happy about it cause on that channel boxing has always been free (other than the normal monthly cable bill I pay to get ESPN 2)
