They told me Golovkin said: "that belt looks Purdy" And Canelo didn't want any part of it, just in case.

even if the wbc gave him more time, what makes us think he would have made an agreement with golovkin?..look now, they have been negociating for a long time and still can't get a deal done...wbc is just doing their job, others like wbo or ibf give fighters a certain time to get a fight made, canelo isn't special

The article is about the wbc belt for the Chavez fight, which is not a title fight.

That would be closer to Steph Curry rejecting a trophy for beating Sacramento in a regular season game. Fighting for California pride.

It's about him vacating the belt when he ducked ggg , the ginger is sure full of excuses making up fake beef stories.

No. It would be like a college football team rejecting a trophy for beating their rivalry. Like the winner of the Michigan-Michigan State game rejecting the Paul Bunyan trophy

Not a fan of Alvarez but I like what he did. WBC are a bunch of greedy leeches. Theyre trying to make a buck by any means necessary cause this is a huge fight they can market through. Theyre always making garbage belts that mean absolutely nothing, get out of here with that and go make your money by actually doing something productive.

ok I'm sure you read the entire article as I did.

The title should read , "Canelo explains why he vacated WBC", not rejected if that were the case.

Can someone explain all that huichol stuff to me? Whats that all about?

But f#ck it I'm pro fighters with big names saying f#ck belts so while I hate that GGG vs Canelo hasn't already happened & I think this is a bit of a cop out explanation (& I'm not even sure those timelines line up like he's saying, but maybe I'm mistaken &/or its not like this wasn't a thing strung along too long anyway), but anything that get more guys saying f#ck a abc group I'm pro that sh^t all day. I hope he fights GGG, beats GGG & pays $0 in sanctioning fees & throws all the belts in the f#cking garbage the next day lmfao. Canelo don't need a bs abc belt.

Yeah he gave it away and is acting like it doesn't matter but that's probably because there is no belts at 164

I don't follow football but I assume that trophy is handed out every year to the winner? Which would be totally irrelevant to this situation.

Either way the point is he's not rejecting a championship belt for this fight.
