The decision was made, ggg was next, but they still needed to negotiate and reach and agreement after the khan fight, thats where 15 days wasnt enough considering canelo had a big trail in court which also involved millions...
And by the way canelo never paid ggg a dime, after the cotto fight he was given a voluntary defense by the wbc just like every other champion... the only one who paid it was cotto since he holded that belt for like 2 years or so..

that court date was aound the days they needed to negotiate the fight, you just dont show up to court, you have to prepare a case, canelo only asked for an adittional 15 days because of this, but the wbc refused...

Listen, you can defend him all you want, but when the 160 champ will only fight the other 160 champ at 155 for the 160 title, knowing the other guy has never fought that low, everyone knows what's going on and who's avoiding who.

2) Canelo demanded 155

3) Hypekin flatly refused

4) Canelo conceded on the weight, and offered Hypekin 10 MILLION DOLLARS to fight at 160

5) Hypekin flatly refused

6) Canelo offered Hypekin MORE money (rumored to be as much as 15mil) including a small percentage of PPV should the sales exceed a certain number
