the numbers show that people will tune in for exciting heavyweight boxing, especially when the stakes are high.

it's not a coincidence that the rise of MMA coincided with the Klitschko Era. hopefully a resurgent HW division can put the annoying upstart lil brother of combat sports (MMA) back in its place.

Compared to Fury v Klitschko, this is not good...
Come on boxing, I'm rooting for you!

Good news is abouy 1.5 mil watched the fight in the us. I'll take that as a positive.
but dude showtime promoted this fight for weeks! They promoted it on fox sports 1 during undisputed also! They promoted it on showtime during fights also! They put out dozens of videos promoting this on all of showtimes social media platforms.... Hbo is just not putting money into boxing like showtime does anymore.... Also dont forget hbo is in 30 million homes while showtime is only 22 million homes..... I dont have hbo so i dont know if they promoted it or not but showtime did a good job promoting this fight

That's why everyone on NSB rightfully s hits on you dumb fphuck! 5 hour delay, 5 f******** hours later for the biggest heavyweight fight in years with 90,000 in the stands and HBO STILL did better on a delayed taping. No imbecile, on the contrary Showtime should've done way better!

For fphucks sake Deontay Wilder-Eric Molina did 678,000 views! Yeah convince anyone on NSB how you're not a f******** tool for thinking Wilder-Molina was better!

It doesn't take a whole lot of effort to s hit on you boy, you're an imbecile and that's putting it very very lightly!

Well considering the network issue was sorted just 3 weeks before the fight & that this was a tape delay & the youtube videos were out before this I'd say the numbers are decent..
My only problem was with showtime airing it & the numbers not being so great(also not enough build up with the same network issue).. if its was any other free channels like cbs, spike or fox, then the numbers would have been double of it for sure..

if you read the article it says hbo is in 8 million more homes than showtime..... So showtime is not supposed to beat hbo.... Hbo is in 30 million homes and showtime only 22 million!!! This was also a early saturday evening fight... People like to go out around that time on saturdays..... Also the nba playoff are going on!! So lets not forget all these facts... A lot of boxing fans on here are bashing showtime as if they lost something lol.... Showtime is in 8 million fewer home and still doing comparable ratings to hbo!!! Thats the big story here
