So much for the 400 hours or whatever it was to make the WBC Piñata belt. The details and travel to the 4 corners of Mexico, etc., etc.....

If the WBC is trying to get a sanctioning fee for this belt
as it's been mentioned, then hell yes reject that joke of a belt.

The WBC has no shame, SMH

Good for canelo. Boxing doesn't need another belt plus I wonder if the WBC tried to get a sanction fee for that garbage belt? Canelo doesn't want to give them a dime or let them use his fight to grab headlines.

This fight never had anything to do with WBC how they got involved in the first place is beyond me. Groveling at Canelo probably begging for a handout and Canelo said Phuk off. LMAO

In all seriousness they should just give that belt to Floyd as a gift. Beat every Mexican. Cinco De Mayweather. He's made the WBC look crisp for so long, might as well.

That would be hella funny doe if this non title belt's agenda were a sanctioning fee. Nelo be like, "I just lost 8.5mill..." the guy who made this special strap probably got 1% of the fees value...:blow:

if the WBC is angling to get a slice of the pie, then big props to Canelo for telling them to shove it. He watched Cotto do something similar, remember.

if he's just being butthurt re: WBC mandating the GGG fight, then bad form Canelo!

                  That's a cheesy title.

Wasn't there a 'Battle of Brooklyn' belt a few years back.

Did the wbc really expect a sanctioning fee for a belt they made up?

Would have been more polite not to say anything and refuse to pay for it after fight. Canelo is no Mayweather, I wouldn't go burning bridges.
