I agree however as we saw further into the fight AJ can take some good shots so there would be the chance he doesnt get AJ out there and hes literally done then he gets stopped sooner.Comment

Yep AJ was on the brink of defeat, if Wlad went after him in R5 and 6 he would have had a huge chance to stop him. It was literally a punch away and probably the wrong decision from Klitschko. Hard to blame him though, he thought he was done and wouldnt recover/get a second wind.. but dammn Wlad if you just went after AJ you would be on top of the world now.Comment

Holyfield was prophetic in his assessment of this fight. He called it perfectly. See the video "Evander Holyfield calls Anthony Joshua a complete fighter" on YouTube.
Wladmir had the "sharpness of the mind", but the body failed him and the young man found an extra gear to pull it out.Last edited by Butch.McRae; 04-30-2017, 01:28 PM.Comment

He was finished. I still don't know how he came back from that. After getting hit like that it's easy to take your $20mil and go home and nobody would complain about you not finishing. That boy showed something that can't be taught. You either born with it or you're not.Comment

wlad did try to go after him......swinging but he knew joshua had almost ko'd him a round before but with very little experience joshua gassed himself out winging his shots.. wlad went after him but kept his composure. it's not in wlads nature to go balls to the wall everything is done with technique. & joshua was more tired gassping for air vs being on the brink of being unconscious from a shot. it had a lot to do with stamina. wlad just had no clue that joshua would catch any 2nd wind and look as fresh in the 9 10 11th as he did in the 1st round. thats the real mistake wlad made. but who would have thought joshua would come on that strong late in the fight when he has no history of doing it.Yep AJ was on the brink of defeat, if Wlad went after him in R5 and 6 he would have had a huge chance to stop him. No doubt. The kid is a true champion. Whoever beats him is going to have to stop him. He's not going to give up a fight. He was finished. I still don't know how he came back from that. I called this as a 50-50 fight beforehand. Wlad was 2 steps up from any opponent Joshua had faced before and Joshua is much easier to hit than Fury. The people who were saying Wlad was finished knew nothing about boxing. Wlad is better than any one else in the division and he still has as good as if not better physical condition than anyone.
I wish he would stick around but he won't if he can't be the best. He'd kill Wilder, Parker and Fury. Only Joshua would be a close fight. Fury retired as soon as Wlad said he wanted a rematch - he knew he couldn't use the same tactics again after that final round. A real shame Wlad has to retire just when his fights are finally getting competitive.
On another night - Wlad would now be back in the mix and be champion again. Be honest about this people. This was a fight Joshua won by about 5%. Well done to AJ but there are no losers here.Comment

Well there you have it folks. Like I said before, Wlad has himself to blame for this loss. He said himself he could have done more to finish him off but because he thought it was "his night" he took his time and let Joshua recover. SMH
Props to Wlad on a good fight but that's just ****** of him. Emmanuel Steward would curse him out, God rest his soulComment
