Comments Thread For: Klitschko Admits He Thought Joshua Was Finished in Round Six

As previously reported, Wladimir Klitschko will take time to consider his future in boxing but revealed he will only fight again for a rematch with Anthony Joshua. The Ukrainian suffered the fifth defeat of his decorated career, and the second in succession, when he was dramatically stopped in the 11th round of a thrilling clash at Wembley Stadium by IBF, IBO and WBA heavyweight champion Joshua.

No sh^t. Think everyone did. F#ck man I thought Klitschko was done or was seconds from being done when he went down face down a round earlier.

Wlad had a decision there in those two rounds to do anything he could to get Joshua out of there and risk tiring out or be cautious. He's going to be regretting it for a while. Because he had him.

100% agree. Some fights just seem like great fights to end on. I really thought Manny should have retired after that excellent schooling of Bradley in their last fight as was supposedly the plan. And this fight seems like a perfect situation, minus the losing part, for Klitschko to call it a career.

Idk what his future post-boxing looks like, but if he gots anything at all to do I hope he decides to take that plunge vs keep fighting. He's got nothing left to prove, he gots money & he's just selling off brain cells for no good reason if he continues fighting.

Hell no. A rematch would be one of the biggest sporting events of the year. We don't get enough of these fights anymore in boxing. Then if Wilder beats Parker and Joshua wins there's another huge fight.

I don't think AJ had much left even after he recovered. He was putting everything in to the first 15 seconds of the last three rounds and hoping he landed a power shot on Wlad which he did in the 11th. Wlad should have expected it, AJ had done that the two rounds before.
