You can love last night's fight and appreciate what Fury did. I think most real boxing fans do.

What is hard to understand is people try to argue last night wasn't a great fight. Now that's some straight BS.

Plenty of skill, will and drama on show last night.

Pure excitement. HW boxing very rarely produces high level skills like WWs do, especially now these guys are weighing 250lbs. But they have skill in there own way. Wlads ring generalship was great to watch the way he just dominated the centre of the ring and pushed AJ back. His feints and footwork were great. AJ is still a relative novice and it showed, but some of his work when he got close to Klit was great. Lovely crisp short hooks and uppercuts.

I think there was plenty of skill on show. Just not the type we are used to seeing when you watch midgets fighting. HW boxing is a whole different sport

Watch the fight mate. You wont regret it. Wlad in no way looked shot or too old. He came in shape and he came to win. AJ took his best. Recovered. And got the knock out. This is what the sport is famous for.

Larry's attempts at trying to portray last night as some skill-free bar room brawl is a complete joke. There was plenty of skill in a fight fought on knife-edge throughout, where the room for error is smaller than it is for WW.

Wlad yesterday was quite brilliant. And AJ's work at times was beautiful.

My friend, I would strongly recommend it in full, it was a phenomenal fight fought on a knife-edge throughout. Definitely transcended the narrative and the opportunistic nature of Hearn making a fight with an old champion coming off a long lay off. Wlad was brilliant last night.

It's my third favourite fight of the year after Chocolatito-Rungvisai and Valdez-Mariaga.

Naw, it was much more than that.Maybe you should watch the fight because it was an excellent fight and heralded the passing of the torch to the next generation of fighters. Wlad was superb, he fought the best fight that I have witnessed him fight. Yeah, he lost but he was in that fight all the way and gave as good as he got until the 11th round. It was the classic battle of youth vs experience and no difference than when Foreman knocked out Moorer or when Ali dethroned Liston. There are many examples, that is just two. At any rate, it was an excellent fight and this time youth won out. Nothing boring about it.

Why is this thread a surprise to some on here?

Larry is essentially the Floyd version of Spoon23, but tries (and fails) to hide it a bit more

Excitement to you is a guy laying on the ropes moving his upper body for 30 seconds then throwing one punch and moving to the other side of the ring and doing the same thing.. Some of us actually enjoy when people fight one another. I'm not a casual and I thoroughly enjoyed last nights fight and I'm sure lots of others did as well. What you said about Wlad and Joshua may be true but who the fk cares, can we not just enjoy a fight for what it is? People Enjoy watching Wilder as well and he's a fking windmill machine who can't throw a straight punch to save his life.

I wish Joshua nothing but the best as he is on the right road but please stop overrating this fight
I've been here long enough to know that when you first started posting here you were a casual who got into boxing because of Floyd.

You have a lot more knowledge now, but not nearly as much as you think. This post exposes your lack thereof, rockem sockem? That was a high level, technical war. Do both guys have holes in their game? Yes absolutely, but Wlad is elite and he isn't shot, he is over the hill. Saying that, he was great last night, he turned the clock back and fought a great fight.

I still think these guys are a level down from the best heavyweights in the 90's but that is my personal opinion, but their size and physical qualities would have made them live against the Holyfield's and Lewis'. Wlad is one of the better defensive heavyweights of all time, ok he holds too much, and sometimes it has got ridiculous but still a great defensive fighter.

As others have said, boxing is about different styles. All styles can be overcome and ALL should be appreciated, especially at this kind of level. You have tunnel vision when it comes to understanding styles, and that actually hinders your ability to understand boxing to further levels.

That was a great fight, great night. A special performance from both guys. Lots of forced mistakes and some unforced errors. It was a proper throwback heavyweight fight, where both guys showed their technique and skill, but in the end it game down to fortitude, heart, and the intangibles that you can't measure, Classic!.

The fact that you CAN'T see it, is sad for you.

floyd fought everyone there was to fight, he was 38 and nobody could touch him. 49 tried and 49 failed, deal with it
