and what makes sultan so great? he's fought no one even near the top 10 and doesnt appear to have much defense. the jury is still out on him

i dont like the fact that there are so many shannon briggs threads on this site. he sucks and will get KO'ed as soon as he fights someone good (again)

Heavyweight contender Shannon Briggs (47-4-1, 41 KOs) scored his eleventh consecutive knockout in round three against the very tough Chris Koval (23-3, 18 KOs) Wednesday night at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. Briggs was very sharp, landing sledgehammer jabs and punishing rights that the rugged Koval shook off early on. In round three, however, Briggs brutally blasted Koval to the deck, then floored him again with a colossal right. Koval barely beat the count, but his corner stopped the slaughter after the third.

They way I see it Peter hasn't done **** except beat a couple of grade C fighters after being beaten by Wlad. At least Briggs can knock them out.

And Peter doesn't KO them? He's 26 and 1 with 22 KO's. With a couple of brutal KO's.

I watched Peter take some of Wlad's best shots and never went down, let's see Briggs do that.

Evrybody said that after the Wlad fight that Peter was young and needed more experiance, and that's what he's doing.

I would take Peter over Briggs any day of the week.

I agree. briggs does look like the next big thing every time he fights a class c or below guy,,,then as soon as he steps up he's soundly beaten. I jumped on his bandwagon years ago and will never get suckered in again as its always the same story with him. peter has too good a chin and enough power to stop briggs without much of a problem

the lewis fight was very close, briggs almost stopped him in the first and had him wobbled several times throughout the fight.

yeah you're drawing these conclusions about him from what again? i like the way he fights and he's a vicious body puncher with good handspeed, but you're making him sound like the next coming of christ.

I've seen two of his bouts and in both fights he was somewhat of an open book. In both fights he was eating right hands and was there to be hit. Dudes best defense is his offense...so I don't think by any means that Briggs or Peter couldn't take him out.
