Crazy...there was nothing controversial in my estimate of the stoppage....he kept taking a beating and getting dropped.

Saying all of that, Wlad should have finished off AJ as Joshua was hurt for at least 2-3 rounds after he got dropped...instead, Wlad's lack of killer instinct took over and he was too content over using his jab while Joshua was recovering for the next few rounds....I cannot help but think Wilder would have gotten AJ outta there if he was in a similar situation.

While AJ has shown improvements,he has also managed to magnify some of his weaknesses. Two main things won AJ the fight-his youth gave him a strong second wind in round 10 and 11 as well as Wlad's lack of instinct to go for the kill after he had him hurt-this is what happens sometimes when people are too defensive minded.

Imo it was a bit early, AJ wasnt landing anything substantial Klit was (appeared to be doing an Ali "rope a dope) to reset...but the ref(this particular ref i hold much contempt for every fight he ignores dirty moves fails to make legit calls & more..dirty...) He also didn't "catch" in 5th where AJ headlocked, pulled and punched Klit to the mat. That was not a legitimate knockdown. ..watch it in slow mo.....also let that body shot AJ threw while both being held by ref slide... I know I'm new but imo in Shobox the dirtiest fighters seem to always come out on top...

Ref should have stopped it on the 2nd knockdown in rd 11.

Look how angry Vitali Klitschko is! (I have a feeling that he will be giving Wladimir a telling off! for not finishing off Joshua in that 6th round!)....

OK...just finished re-watching the fight. It was even better the 2nd time...LOL. Klitschko was definitely winning the fight by at least 2 rounds maybe 3 right up to the uppercut half way through the 11th. He showed tremendous heart fighting on after the KD's and still had his where-about's and was fighting intelligently...but of course he taken some hard punishment.

Joshua was trying to end it but Klitschko was still slipping and Joshua didn't connect with anything that did anything...he had no accuracy. He threw a few sloppy punches and the ref jumped in...so I think it was too soon for sure. The only thing I can say is that Klitschko didn't complain about it. I think if Klitschko wants the rematch which apparently he does...that he has every reason to take it. I think Joshua knew he needed a KO and decided to give him the bum's rush in the 11th that has always worked for him early in past fights. That was a killer uppercut to his credit.
