It was. AJ wasn't landing clean shots, Klit was surviving. BS stoppage.

Legit question - Was that fight stopped prematurely?

The ref blew it. He could have stopped it after the second knockdown, but by allowing it to continue he trapped himself into a situation where he had to wait for Wlad to take some big shots again before he could call it. Those shots never came. Joshua was just missing with dangerous punches but nothing really landed. Wlad wasn't throwing many punches but was defending himself. Then the ref stopped it.
Also think Wlad's corner should have thrown in the towel after the second knockdown.
Wasn't a horrible stoppage but showed a little bit of incompetence.

I think it was premature, especially since Wlad had recovered and turned things around earlier in the fight. He was on the ropes but was parrying and blocking the shots at the time.

If the ref had not stopped it then I think Aj would have just continue to pound away until he dropped Wlad a third time. It didn't look like there was any chance of Wlad recovering. It looked like there was a good chance of Wlad getting badly hurt if the fight had continued because AJ was throwing and landing heavy bombs. I thought the ref stopped it at the right time because Wlad was done and he wasn't coming back.

Given the fact that he was knocked down earlier, survived and came back, you have to give him the benefit of the doubt. You can't stop the fight when he is slipping shots on the ropes and taking nothing clean.
Watching all those faggy brits celebrating that BS stoppage only pissed me off more.

I don't know, a 12th round could have been interesting. Joshua would have been exhausted.
