So what you're saying is that a highly skilled, intelligent defense orientated fighter will beat a less skilled, less ring savvy offense first fighter?

C'mon man, guys have different strengths and weaknesses. Floyd for instance, wasn't considered the best of his generation for nothing, if just anyone could do that ish it wouldn't be special now, would it? If you can pull it off great, but there's many routes to victory and each fighter has to play to their strengths.
The very best offense first fighters also get hit relatively little - certainly in comparison to the leather they lay on their opponents, and if they're stopping most of their opponents they may even take less damage on a fight by fight basis.
