well give an example of a fighter you talking about.

If you say ruslan well he sucks he's only way he can win a fight is coming forward.

if you say Rios well you underestimating his skills inside.

Cant also ignore some fighters like/have to/need to feel like they in a fight to perform.

Cant also ignore the fact that some people seriously dont even want to be in boxing that long.

It will be great if everyone can be like mayweather and pussyfoot along and get the nod, everyone would love a job like that but some people cant do it either for physical limitation or mental or both.

What was Duran? Kind of a "come forward fighter" who didn't take a lot of flush hard shots.

honestly it would be whoever lands the hardest shot first..neither seems to take shots well and neither have great defense

Those flawed fighters are the ones that keep the fight game alive. Honestly I'd rather have a flawed fighter give me his all every time out and put his heart and desire in it regardless if it's only for 5-10 years, than some naturally skilled slick fighter who's in the game way longer, and who btw have the biggest egos but lack the desire and heart of the flawed fighter.

To be fair, Wlad's defence is/was good. It wasn't great to watch or slick like Floyd or someone but he had a very effective style. Wlad had underrated footwork at his best and was very quick to step out of range. He was also good at controlling distance and not letting guys get into range and land flush shots. having a good defence is more than just looking slick and being slippery.

People think Wlad is some big stiff robot but he is far from it, in his prime anyway. His jab and grab often annoyed me, but he did have other attributes to his game that were overlooked by a lot of people.

I think Klitschko has decent defensive and boxing skills...but you make a good point on the first hard landed shot and I have no doubt Joshua will be gunning for this early. I'm finding this fight more and more intriguing now.

Duran proved you can come forward while showing tremendous defense. He was fun to watch every time out, fought for 35 years which is unheard of and shows no signs of dementia thus far. Duran was amazing.

Mayweather fought Judah in a "come forward" style. Some guys can't fight going backwards.
