Canelo is a big 160 and will likely emter the ring heavier than GGG. Meanwhile, GGG is an average size MW. Canelo has better upper body movement and quicker counters. No easy night for either guy and this is a 50/50 fight.
Why is GGG-Canelo perceived as a close matchup?

Calm down brother lol. I'm just saying Canelo has had more weight demands of any guy still in his mid-ish 20's than anyone in boxing history that I can recall & I'm goofing on him & his fanboys about it.
You'd think he was trained by Freddie Roach with all the bs weight demands he has. I legit can't weight to see what a 33 year old Canelo is requiring of opponents when he really is pushing the limits of what he can demand of them like Floyd did to him & like Manny did to many cats.Comment

if he was a Champion I'd agree. The only bout Alvarez had a catchweight title bout was against Floyd, the weight Floyd demanded. With Cotto, well Cotto was Lineal and A side correct?Calm down brother lol. 155 bouts who cares. We got Lara vs Nelo at a catchweight. What other weight would matter?
Pac and Roach with catchweight title bouts are completely irrelevantComment

This isn't a common thing. Usually guys get old & worn down before they start with all the weight demands. Its a lil odd.
Spin it however you want to, but ultimately its odd & not a common thing for a high profile elite level guy to do this young & everyone knows its a lil odd & that's why Canelo is getting so much bad attention these days even doe he's the Mexican king of boxing right now which is usually a all love title given to a cat.Comment

Not spinning anything. Let's do this in chronological order.I'm just saying the guy has had a lot of weight demands at weird weights for a guy still super young in the grand scheme of things.

Alvarez loses to Floyd. His 154 confidence and ranking drops, particularly from that performance. They offer Angulo who was already having trouble making weight since he was fighting Silva at a catch before the Lara bout.
Alvarez weighs in at 155. If that was his strategy so be it, that's where his 155 thereon became consistent.
Then Lara jumps onto the podium after Nelo beats Angulo, guys that both beat the El Perro. a legit callout, Alvarez asks at the conference, ''you guys raving for this fight?''
So 155 is where Alvarez felt comfortable, where Lara was game, the Cuban who didn't have a title belt until Floyd vacated, so the CUban agreed to an extra pound.
Fast forward, then we got James Kirkland who was already fighting above 154 (156 for Tapia) before agreeing to Nelo. His inactivity is more of a debate than the weight. Kirkland is small but stocky, if he can make 155 to fight Nelo so be it. Again, this ''canelo weight'' in media during the time is just strategy to lure Alvarez northbound..
Then here comes Cotto, who of course would rather fight Alvarez than Golovkin because the PPV makes sense as well as Mexico vs PR and the revenge from his brother Jose Cotto... Alvarez still feels comfortable at 155, Cotto obliges, no problem, and Cotto knows Alvarez hasn't campaigned at 160 like Martinez or Geale so the challenge is justified.
Then media asks Alvarez about Golovkin, will he defend his belt with him. Alvarez now technically a Middleweight champ, is lucky for the fact that 155 has benefitted him since losing to Floyd. He states, ''if Gennady wants the belt, he has to come to his weight.'' Again, A side or not, does Gennady want the challenge even though he and his camp said 154-168 was easy...
Then WBC says fine, Alvarez gets his voluntary defense as what would seem standard anyways, and Golovkin has to do his defense...
So we get Amir Khan, a ****y now Welterweight with generally good relationship with Oscar. Since Khan's loudmouth self couldn'T get the fight with Floyd, he attempts the known 155 ''Canelo weight'' ...
Meanwhile and surprisingly Tureano Johnson becomes ''injured'' and industry basically has zero followup on it just like the ''cancelled'' Andy Lee bout with GGG a couple years back... People don't even know that Johnson vs Gennady was contractlly agreed until they pulled out and chose Monroe Jr.
How is it a coincidence that Johnson, who switches like Jacobs, was initially denied and they went with the lesser known puncher in Monroe Jr. with that KO power...
For all we know, Johnson was bought out, and low and behold again, we get a House Arrest Wade which media fails to even talk about...
FFS Golovkin and K2 are clowns man...
Back to Alvarez and 155, so now a huge way for them to negotiate with the WBO as they've known to be sooo flexible with Top Rank and Pac, why not steal the strap at 154 for a shot against Saunders at 160? From there on, it's all the belts and undisputed..
meanwhile GBP is waiting for K2 to sign a 12 digit offer, All Star is hammering their lawsuit, Haymon and GBP advisory say well the old school Nelo vs Chavez beef would do great numbers and earnings. It would be wise for Alvarez to make this fight meanwhile they wait for Golovkin..

But like I said you can spin it however you want but its a reality. No elite level fighter has had as many weight demands as Canelo has had by such a young age. That's just how it is. Its a fact. And sh^t man there isn't anything even wrong with it necessarily. If I was in his shoes I'd probably be doing the same thing. Fair play to Canelo. He's got the power to force guys to whatever weight he allows guys to fight him at for a career high payday.Comment

I think some of the context is what Alvarez can draw without being a champion from the ''155 caneloweight.'' I'm just saying that Alvarez wasn't a Champion from Angulo-Lara-Kirkland. So does it really matter regarding the drawing power and these catchweights? They weren't title bouts. Tbh, people will forget about the catchweights. Now when Andrade and Lara move up and now that Charlo is there, who knows maybe both twins might head north, then man it's another dangerous 160 pool that wasn't existent when Gennady's fame rose. I mean how would any of these guys mentioned fair against a Proksa or Murray or Geale or Rosado.Epic response brother. I guess there's truth in what you'Re saying, I'm just saying it doesn't affect his legacy. People like pick on Nelo, same way they did made the propaganda tactics against Floyd since 2009... Does media enjoy covering why Gennady never took ristks northbound when HBO and Kellerman themselves ask Gennady ''nobody wants to fight you'' when the context is 160.
It is what it is. Bommmbb Squaddd!

I agree with you there. Well I mean you or I & some Canelo fanboy's & haters will remember it obviously, but the masses don't give a f#ck about that stuff at all. I bet most cats who buy this PPV won't even know the weight demands for this fight til they announce the weight during the intros. And most won't give a f#ck about it 3 seconds later.I think some of the context is what Alvarez can draw without being a champion from the ''155 caneloweight.'' In fairness anyone on that headliner level on HBO, Showtime or any of these mainstream free TV PBC shows on up is gonna get hater fans. It comes with the territory & I'm sure its not unexpected by any of those guys.People like pick on Nelo, same way they did made the propaganda tactics against Floyd since 2009... Does media enjoy covering why Gennady never took ristks northbound when HBO and Kellerman themselves ask Gennady ''nobody wants to fight you'' when the context is 160.
You got your fanboys, you got your haters & you got most of the boxing fans in the middle who the boxer is probably hoping get hyped up enough to love or hate you one day cuz being indifferent or reasonable about a guy doesn't pay as much for the boxer.Comment

Not one "weight demand". Haters gonna hate. When Ca$hnelo beats the s**t out of Little G at 160 it'll probably count as another "weight demand" to these ******s.Not spinning anything. Let's do this in chronological order.
