Floyd did win but it's an interesting point about what would have happened if Maidana had been allowed his usual gloves. We know Floyd liked his A-side advantages (as most fighters do) and it's easy to see why he wasn't too keen on letting Maidana wear his usual gloves.

I think Floyd is the best of his time but i don't know how anyone can really defend a move like that. Fighters should be allowed to use whatever gloves they choose as long as they're approved by the governing bodies and whatnot.

When Floyd fought Oscar...Oscar chose the gloves. TBE beat him.

Some people need to understand how these things work. It's not up to the A-Side to accommodate. It's up to the B-Side to be that good a fighter that it doesn't matter what gloves you put on. Maidana isn't and wasn't that fighter.

Great points brought up, the commission approved gloves that Maidana intended on using, but those gloves got booted out because Floyd Mayweather said he didn't want Maidana fighting with them, imagine GGG did that to Jacobs, just imagine!

It's truth the comission gave the reason to Floyd first. But the Everlast company owner said they were exact the same gloves as usual just with different color. Then they offered a regular Everlast Mx pair, the comission approved them, and Floyd said pillows or no fight.

If Floyd won this fight then you need to concede the fact that Jacobs lost the fight clearly to Golovkin, people need to stop making agendas towards which fighter they like, that makes you come across as untrustworthy.

Why?

There wasn't many similarities between the fights. Maidana put a lot of pressure on Floyd, but Floyd just sc****d enough rounds to win. It was close but Maidana didn't win 6 or more rounds.

GGG clearly outlanded Jacobs, won more rounds and dropped him. Jacobs looked great in spells of the fight but didn't win enough rounds. It was close though too.

It's not about agenda, i just call it how i see it. Besides, i was more of a Maidana fan than a Floyd fan...
