Hard to say who's lying and who's telling the truth.

One thing, though - look at Lara's last 5 opponents. That is as bad a run of opponents as it gets for a world-class fighter. Lara is probably getting drunk on these easy (and high) paydays.

Ultimately this fight is going to a purse and we will see then who backs out - hopefully not, cos it's a intriguing fight.

This is all I needed to read, I'd love this match because I think Andrade and Lara are 1 and 2 at 154, the same way GGG and Jacobs were respectevely.

This is the same guy who dropped his wbo title. Who is always barking and had done no biting. Hasn't fought any big names of note he's just looked good against subpar competition. Do I think he has skills absolutely but does he have a better resume than Lara nope. Is he active enough nope. But he's called out everybody only to end up fighting with a nobody. I'm a fan of Lara but he has to fight bigger names than Yuri Foreman I ain't watching another fight of his against a no hoper. They both need to fight each other.

Sounds like both sides are completely FULL OF **** and neither is really serious about fighting! The WBA should just order it and make them fight once and for all!

The WBA already ordered it for september according to the article. So the fight will happen this year for sure unless somebody vacates.

It's hard for me believe Andrade because this is what he said last summer:

July 4, 2016:

Demetrius Andrade wants to have a world title around his waist before he goes on to fight the winner of a bout between World Boxing Council titleholder Jermell Charlo and Charles Hatley.

That leaves a short list of potential foes. One name at the bottom of the list is World Boxing Association beltholder Erislandy Lara.

“Don’t get me wrong. Lara is an interesting fight because he also is slick. But that last fight against Vanes Martirosyan, he tried to stay in the pocket a little bit, he felt comfortable with somebody he’s already fought before, which I don’t know if he’ll do that with somebody like me,” Andrade told BoxingScene.com late last month.

“I don’t know. If that’s the last resort, than yeah, I’m going to take the fight,” he said.

But it otherwise doesn’t interest him as much.

“He won’t engage or try and make the fight entertaining, especially if it’s coming into my favor,” Andrade explained. “He’s just going to survive, try to run, try to do the little pitty-pat counter punches. I’m not about that right now. I’m about sitting in there, doing what I need to do best, and letting the fans know that I’m willing to get in there with anybody and put on a show and make ends meet.”

Interestingly, while Andrade doesn’t want the WBA “super” titleholder in Lara, he would be OK with facing the secondary titleholder, Jack Culcay, who holds the sanctioning body’s “regular" belt. Andrade doesn’t know much about Culcay.

“I just heard of his name, that he has the WBA,” Andrade said. “I’m trying to get a title shot so I can put a belt up against Charlo where it’s big, not me trying to fight for the belt he has, even though I’m going to take it.”

I think Andrade wants Jermell Charlo, and not Lara! Maybe, with all this talking going on, Lara vs. Andrade. I hope so!

It's not hard to figure who is lying when there's Espinoza in the middle of it. So the Showtime exec offered the fight to both and Lara showed no interest, or wanted a tune up first if forced into it. Why is this not hard to believe? Is Espinoza lying?

Very easy to verify. Ask Espinoza and stop speculating.

I think that's why Hatley is suing his promoter Don King! At least Jermell fought Julian Jackson before Hatley. I don't know what Hatley was doing.

I don't expect Espinoza to throw a PBC fighter under the bus. We'll probably never know how things went. Lara probably wants more than $1 million for this fight. Espinoza may well cave in just like he did with Berto in the Porter fight, then get 200K in the ratings. Keep on throwing away money doe.

Actions speak more than words. If Andrade travel and took low money to be the mando, that speaks volumes.
