We have seen promotional companies do it. I remember Bob Arum - not exactly the most "honest and candid" person in this business - acknowledge that Mikey Garcia - his own fighter - had turned down a fight against Gamboa and that was before Mikey files a lawsuit against Top Rank.

I don't think Espinoza admitting that Lara turned down Andrade would create a diplomatic incident with Al Haymon.

Lara's no boogeyman. The guy has struggled against Molina, Martirosyan twice, and Canelo. Officially he is 1-1-2 in those fights. But since he runs his mouth there's this belief that he's special. No. The system he comes from is special in the amateurs. But Lara himself is not special.
