Don't feel too bad Joshua, neither will anyone of your opposition, or peers. Nor will I.

Why do you need a billion dollars? Ten or fifty million is fine isn't it? Focus on being a great fighter and leaving a legacy, not concentrating on being the highest paid guy. Imagine what Leonard, Hearns, Hagler, Ali, Marciano and 'Sugar' Ray Robinson would have earned fighting in these times.

19.95 £ (pounds) on Sky Sports. Mayweather was doing 1 million plus PPV buys for $60 dollars and did 2 to 4 plus million PPV buys, 3 times, for $70 to $100 in the US. 2 million x $70 is $140,000,000 dollars from the PPV alone and then you have to add the sponsorship money and the Vegas live gate. Selling out Wembley doesn't come close to the difference in PPV revenue.

He was talking about in his entire career and Leonard, Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, etc demanded and were paid handsomely during their primes. It's prize fighting. Joshua is simply learning from his predecessors.

He's probably right. Even if he is half as good as the Joshua fanboys think HW tends to be a more volatile division so his longevity making big bucks might not be as long as Floyd's was (2005ish(?) to 2015).

I mean Floyd is the highest paid guy in boxing for his talent, personality & attention getting ability, but its also cuz he has the most consistent fights on PPV of any boxer in PPV history with 14 in a row. If you can keep yourself THAT relevant to get any amount of people to pay $60-$100 to watch you fight for 14 fights in a row over a 9 year period you are gonna make a f#cking ton of money. Can Joshua with his intently staring at his opponent during a face off before talking reasonably to them command that type of long term commitment from fans? Idk, but I'd bet against it.

But sh^t man the fact this Joshua is even being talked about in this context suggests if he falls short its not gonna be a rough L for him to digest or anything lol. Be like "oh man do I suck....I only made $400M in my boxing career".

Respect & good luck to Joshua however things go.

Money and Boxing Fans don't mix well. Nobody here can even begin to grasp what its like to cash a check of that magnitude, not a single person here can properly even begin to assume the overhead costs these guys have. I'll put it this way there are very few people in the world with accurately disclosed net worth. I laugh when I see mofo's quoting Forbes and shh, Forbes does not do accounting for these individuals so they have no idea if they are even within 10% of the actual realistic number or not.
